There is not much information on this episode.
Season 3, episode 7: Common Ground Colonel Sheppard finds himself the prisoner of a Genii commander, along with a Wraith who has been separated from his hive. More info at gateworld. |

I really like Kolya as a character. He's fiercely loyal to his people and a major potential thorn in the side of the Atlantis expedition. In a lot of ways the Genii are in the same position that the Earth was in the early seasons of SG1. Having them in a position of having less technology than the "heros" yet consistantly surviving makes them, in my opionion, a good addition to the overall storyline in Atlantis. I'm anxious to see this one.

The only problem is, as a whole, the Genii are allies with Atlantis. Kolya is pretty much renegade now so his character would become boring quickly. Unless the Genii become an enemy again, there isn't much that can be done with him.

From the trailer to me it does not look like the wraith actualy takes anything out of him its just the atlantis reaction to it. A wraith and Sheppard working together to get out should be good to see but guns will turn on each other at the end i think. Some Geni episodes i like some bore me but i think this will be good. You would think the Geni would work together with atlantis to fight the wraith but instead they always seem to end up fighting each other. |

His character could be really good or really boring, depending on what the writers decide to do with him. I'll tune in... |

From the preview of it after last weeks SGA it looked like Sheppard actually was fed on, if you look at the other scenes there were some where I'm pretty sure he had grey hair.

Though i can see Koyla or Carson announcing that they have an serum that 'hides' the affects of being fed apon. how strange is it that this is the next episode yet nothing has been released, i've not found any spoiler pics or any kind of detail description anywhere. very strange...... |

Denise you're not allowed to just post quotes like that. You need to post something of your own. Welcome to the forum |

When you are watching the Common Ground video on the Sci-Fi channel
try and freeze it when the guard is being stabbed and it looks like an old Shep. But i don't know how he becomes young again unless the wraith have an ability to give back life as well as take it. This post has been edited by denise_42: Aug 22nd 2006, 6:48 AM |

...it looks like an old Shep. But i don't know how he becomes young again unless the wraith have an ability to give back life as well as take it. That is a good idea. I think that's the way it is going to be put down. Despite being enemies, the Wraith and Shep will do something together to escape their prison. Being a renegade Wraith (ie without a hive), he will pay back on Shep's help by giving him back his life. Can't wait to see this one. Seems very promising! Kolya's character was a good one. I am glad he has returned. It would also be great if intel of Sheppard's condition (ie being fed upon) reaches Atlantis, so that there would be some emotional stir over there with Weir and the others. Unfortunately I cannot see the teaser on this computer, so I would have to wait for the real one! This post has been edited by cosmos: Aug 22nd 2006, 7:33 AM |

Watching the teaser i got the impression that he was fed apon while Kolya was in communication with Atlantis and that they could hear everything. |

Hi there.... I must have watched the preview at least a dozen times.
» Click to Show Spoiler « All I know is I can't wait to see what's going to happen. I honestly don't think Koyla is going to make it past this episode considering Sheppard told him in The Brotherhood that if Koyla ever crossed him that he would kill him. So I honestly don't think he will make it past this episode. Though for continuing stories I hope so. Well that's my opinion of it all..be gentle with replies...still fairly new to the site. P.S. Joe F. will be in town this weekend at a Sci-fi convention and it will be interesting to hear what he has to say about the season so far and this past episode. Sorry to get off topic. |
