Season 7 Episode "Grace"
"Carter goes back to retrieve the Prometheus that we last saw in 'Memento,' where basically it was stranded off-world. Because the naquadria is unstable, they have to do short spurts in and out of hyperspace to cool the naquadria drive. So it's while they're popping in and out of hyperspace that they end up in a situation where Carter is knocked out. When she wakes up, the ship is deserted, the escape pods are gone, she's trapped, and the ship won't move. Then she begins to see and experience these weird visions, if you will. "So it's a race against time for her to try and bring the ship online and try and figure out what the heck are these visions that she's seeing. It's kind of a fun episode, and there's potential there for some shippiness, but it's kind of early to tell." (Executive producer Joseph Mallozzi, in an interview with the Stargate SG-1 Explorer Unit ) More spoilers: "Sam travels to retrieve the stranded Prometheus (last seen in Memento). On their way back to Earth, she and the crew run into a 'situation.' Carter is knocked unconscious and, when she awakens, discovered the crew is missing and the ship is trapped in a strange nebula." (Joseph Mallozzi, in a post at GateWorld Forums) |

If they have some good Sam/Jack "ship" and then do the "Bobby Ewing in the shower thing" and say it was all a dream I will be pissed to say the least.
Needless to say, I think this will be a good episode. I am just afraid that they won't air it until the second half of the season, which does not air until January and we will have to wait until then to see it. That is just too long a wait!!! |

What's the shower thing?...
Oh well..I can't wait to see Amanda stretch her acting wings.....hopefully we'll have some spillage of some Jack/Sam ship. Another thought. I wonder why the people that was on the ship would leave without her?... |

Sounds like an interesting episode.Maybe they all found abandoned asguard motherships and all went to individual ones to take 'em back to earth and Sam had to fly the prometheus and hit a meteor shower and sustained damage.

UPDATE: There is a scene with Daniel and Carter on the Prometheus, in which Daniel is suggesting that Carter talk to a cloud, but Carter passes out and then goes into a dream state in which she is talking to a little girl (Grace), who needs to talk to her. It's someone Sam knows, but can't figure out who, and her father appears in one of these 'dream' sequences.
Guest characters: Grace (Little Girl), Jacob Carter. #thanks to 'ferret' for the tip http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sg1_spoilme |

The shower thing refers to the show "Dallas" from the 80's. Bobby Ewing (Patrick Duffy was the actors name I believe) left the show (was killed or divorced from Victoria Principal or something) and then came back so there was this shower scene where he "woke up" and realized he was dreaming. The WHOLE previous season was deemed a dream and therefore had never actually happened! Of course if we are desperate for some Sam/Jack ship, this would be a good way to get it! Anyway, I think this will be a good episode and I hope they don't make it "all a dream." |

I wonder who "Grace" will be? or represent for that matter? Some suggestions... *Sam's niece *Maybe Jolinar's host had child after the symbiote left her (It has been suggested that the host is still alive. OR my favorite *Sam & Jack's daughter coming to Sam in a vision from the future with some important message. Any other ideas?..... |

Ok Sam gets a show of her own, sorta speek. With a little coworkers thown in for substins. Dreaming state is a little tricky. It might be what she thanks is going on, or what she wishes would be happening. In my opinion a Sam and Jack shippy has nothing to show here. Unless there is a room or closet that they might have been in to hide from Teal'c or Jonas. That would be highly unlikely, because neither one of them would jeberdize there milletary satiste, just for a little fun.

Ok, first of all, why would they leave her behind??? Isn't Jack all about the "nobody gets left behind" thing? Even if he wasn't on the ship, somebody should get her, or at least try to wake her up, it wasn't like she was in a coma. In my opinion this episode might be like
"Absolute Power" where she's dreaming everything, but really she's unconscious and the crew members are helping her off the ship. I don't really like the idea of the whole episode being the workings of Sam's mind while unconscious but thats the ony logical reason for her team mates leaving her behind. |

The whole episode may very well be a "dream" of sorts. From what I understand, the nebula is trying to comunisate through Sam or something so she is probably unconscious and NOT alone on the ship.
Much to may dismay, I don't think this episode is going to include a lot of "ship" either. Maybe a small token gesture to the Sam/Jack shippers, but nothing of too much significance. In Joseph Malozzi's chat on the 14th he said that this episode was going to "tee up" a furture episode and that it would lead to a moment that Sam/Jack fans will like as well as one that they won't. So, no holding my breath for too much relationship/feelings fessing up fro this episode. All that said, I can't wait to see it. |

REVISED UPDATE 6-24
16 - GRACE (focuses on Sam) Written by: Damian Kindler Directed by: Peter Woeste From a magazine(?) interview with Joe Mallozzi:"Carter goes back to retrieve the Prometheus that we last saw in 'Memento,' where basically it was stranded off-world. So it's a race against time for her to try and bring the ship online and try and figure out what the heck are these visions that she's seeing. It's kind of a fun episode, and there's potential there for some shippiness, but it's kind of early to tell." The Prometheus is on some space mission (maybe racking up those 150 million miles for the first oil change) and encounters an alien craft which, as most guest alien crafts on TV shows are, is not friendly and fires at them. To avoid being annihilated, the Prometheus takes refuge in a nearby gaseous formation. When the ship attacks again, Carter is hit by a power surge of some kind. She awakens to a headache from a concussion - as well as an empty ship # devoid of its crew and the rest of SG-1. She soon discovers the ship is suffering from some kind of corrosion which will eventually compromise the Prometheus' hull, and well, we all know that's a bad thing. Following a girl's voice singing a children's nursery rhyme (Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star), she encounters a strange little girl on the ship, who appears and disappears seemingly at will. When Carter is conscious, and back with the crew again, Daniel believes that this little girl could be a physical manifestation of the cloud (sort of like the film Solaris. When she goes back into her unconscious/dream state, Carter realizes the song the little girl is singing is something her mother used to sing to her as a child. The child, who calls herself Grace, isn't very forthcoming with information, and Jacob Carter soon appears, to talk to her about her....uh...love life! Or rather, lack of one. UPDATE 6/24: Grace's simple child-like behavior of blowing bubbles gives Carter the clue to save the Prometheus. Guest characters: Grace (Little Girl), Jacob Carter, Weapons Officer. Col. William Ronson and Major Erin Gant from season six episode "Memento" return (and are probably played by the same performers - John Novak and Ingrid Kavelaars, respectively). #thanks to 'ferret' for the tip http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sg1_spoilme/ |

It sounds like it's going to be one of those "weird" episodes, but will be welcomed as maybe we will finally get some more information on Sam and her personal life / feelings etc.. It seems like we haven't really been given much insight into these matters so far...

I hear that the guys- namely Jacob, Daniel, Teal'c and Jack are all goin to appear to her in her dream state- and kind of tell her what's goin wrong in her life and how she should fix it- or something like that.
If so- I wonder what Jack's goin to advise Sam to do... "Be happy, get a man... But obviously it can't be me!" Sort of thing?? That would be a good scene- however I think the writers are goin to be very wary of how much shippiness they're gonna expose to the fans- coz if it's in the region of D&C- it's gonna encourage and please loads of fans, however probably piss off an equal amount... Which is sad really, coz I'm all for them getting together. |
