HEROES
The dangers and sacrifices inherent in protecting Earth from the Gou'ald come sharply into focus in this episode in which the SGC suffers a tragic loss. The events of "Disclosure" are followed up in some degree in this episode. The bigwigs in the US government have sent in some filmmakers to do a procedural documentary on the SGC. A military liaison escorts the filmmakers, whose leader is determined to dig up *everything* he can on the star team of the SGC - namely, SG-1. O'Neill, being his charming self, is totally uncooperative, although he gives them the "16" magazine version of himself (likes, dislikes) which doesn't do them a hill of beans of good. Carter and Fraiser are cooperative; Daniel is vague, and seemingly mulling over his past failures. The filmmakers get to see SG-1 in action as they go off-world in a rescue mission when another team is ambushed. Even Fraiser goes, as there are injuries. Something goes terribly wrong, and there are injuries and a casualty. The filmmakers, who weren't allowed to go off-world, hear that O'Neill was hit with a staff blast and Carter was very upset. The fillmakers then decide to track down the survivors of the ambush - and specifically Daniel, who had a camcorder with him and witnessed and inadvertently taped the death of a dear friend. The fillmaker gets his story, but at a high price. As with all spoilers, this information is subject to change. Uh, the person who reportedly dies is ... * * * Janet Fraiser. Characters in this episode include Siler (yea!), Parker (Fox reporter wannabe), Tech Sergeant, Rundell, Wickenhouse. # thanks to 'ferret' for the tip http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sg1_spoilme/ |

They can't get rid of her now... I think it'll appear as though Fraiser is in trouble during the ep, but I doubt that they'll kill off Teryl Rothery coz she is kinda inportant... |

In a way it might be best if these deaths actually occur. I mean, it seems sort of odd that after six years of being in continuous life-threatening situations, no one in the main cast has died (excluding Daniel, who later comes back). Even though fans of Terryl Rothery may be disappointed, I believe it may add authenticity to the series.

It's not just terryl Rothery - I don't want to sit through a whole episode (of the precious few left) where half the storyline is wasted on breaking in a new character.

I can understand why, because of her heavy load, but why at the begaining of the season? I will miss her alot. Who ever takes over her place better be awear of Carters antic with computers, and electricaty. Teal'c needs alot of TLC. If Daniel can't remember, who is going to tell him what has happen to him? Jack is alway putting his finger in the wrong whole, and alians are alway filling him with wholes.

We don't actually *KNOW* that Frasier is going to die. The simple fact that the current spoilers indicate this really doesn't mean anything. After all, didn't spoilers originally suggest it would be DJ and SC that got together in Beneath the Surface? But seriously, in the recent chat with Joe Mallozzi he took the 5th when asked this question, as I guess you would expect. And that proves exactly nothing. Given how popular the character is with the fans, and the actor with the cast and crew, I just can't see her getting "offed". The only reason I could speculate would be if Teryl had made plans thinking there would be no season 7 and simply wasn't available for the entire season. But I still don't see it. I think it's just one of those things where you're meant to think that a particular person dies, but it ends up being someone else. At least that's what I'm hoping anyway ...

Ya know, it would be really ironic if they had decided to give her character "opening" credits for season 7 and then kill her off...don't ya think?
by the way, does anyone know WHY she never got part of the opening credit sequence? There are many times when she's in an ep more than Don Davis, and he's been in there since the beginning....was it contractual? |

I read somewhere that they are trying to find Daniel because he was carrying a video recorder that taped the Doctors [I]alleged[I] death
Im betting that this means we will be lead to beleive she is dead all the way through the episode only to be reunited at the very end with some plausible story of how she managed to avoid this fate. I really dont think they will kill off her character this early unless she to got annoyed with the narrowness of her part and spat the dummy like MS did. |

What I read that there is a shippy moment in this episode too. Jack gets hurt too, but live to talk about it. Sam is blaming herself for this one? It is so fage that anything can go. We fans have seen what there do or die moments can mean. The writers don't lie, but they sure can stretch the true a little. One thing I do know is I love this show and what ever they come up with is ok with me.

Out off all the main characters, i think dr frasier was the one best to killl off. and it does add authenticity. sounds a great episode.

The Spoiler is wrong. Yesterday I've seen this episode from a rented tape (i'm from germany)
and here we have actually the first 10 episodes of the 7. season to rent... (and this is the second episode from season 7 in germany) well anyway: It's actually not a filmcrew... its a science team on a mission and SG1 is also there to "protect" them... but they're on a mission. SG1 is voluntarily kidnapped by the jaffas of a new "Goa'Uld" but actually he's a Tok'Ra "konsu". He wanted to give some secret informations to SG1 without the Knowlodge of his Jaffa. But his Jaffa realise that he's not a Goa'Uld and kills him. now the Leader of the Jaffas is "Herac". He wants to bring SG1 to Anubis. But the SG1 team, which should return to the earth uses the Ring Transporter to follow SG1 and save them. The 2 guys from the science team take over control of the Goa'Uld Pyramid and saves SG1. the gets the civilian bravery medal an Major Carter gives jay a really nice kiss ...but stop... it was just a dream of jay... well he saved SG1 but he and his partner didn't get the medal or a kiss It was a joke episode... like "windows of opportunity". so... much fun... But both. Daniel and Frasier are not in this Episode... Daniels replacement is Jonas Quinn This post has been edited by Morpheus: Apr 10th 2003, 4:47 AM |

Um, I'm afraid you are incorrect. See the episode guide. Also, Season 7 has not aired anywhere yet (it is being filmed right now) and starts in June 2003. |

If there must be some deaths in season 7, why not kill the chevron guy.
Fraiser is to important to the show.
Morpheus it seems that you're trapped in the Matrix. Now i'm waiting for season 7 to air. waiting | | waiting | | stilll waiting | | is it june yet |
