When archaeologists exploring a Mayan pyramid in Mexico find a sarcophagus covered in Egyptian hieroglyphics, they accidentally release Hathor, a Goa'uld who has taken on the persona of a powerful Egyptian goddess, awoken from a sleep that has lasted a millennium.

That indeed does seem a plot hole, or at least a writer's tool for when and if they require it. But can anyone think of any reason why Sam and Teal'c couldn't sense her??

Someone once said it was because Teal'c was always around snakes that he didn't think/feel anything unusual. It was only in later episodes when he became Earthen-ised that he began to sense things differently? Any ideas??

teal'c looked at her and said "she is indeed a goa'uld" ... i think...

all i know is the quote from sam about women behind bars movie made me laugh.gif and certianly made my friends laugh.gif too.

although, is it just me or does it seem that the woman who played hathor wasn't very attractive... i dont know, maybe that wasn't the point but i guess thats why she had to have that special breath thing wink.gif

and imo she looked a lot better in "out of mind", i am thinking it was the makeup

right i watched the episode and daniel figured out she was a gould when they were in that cell but hathor had him under her gould spell so when he told the others he made her sound like she wanted to help them defeat apothis and that she was a good gould. rolleyes.gif

do u know when hathor apperas in whats that episode the last episode in season 2 and the first episode in season 3 is it me or does she look way beeter in those episodes than she did in hathor.?

She probably looks better because she spent more time rejuvinating in a sarcoughagus and regained some youth and vitality. I do agree that they could have found a more.. attractive woman for the role.
