i thought it was a great twist finding out that she was destroyer of worlds at the end instead of half way through and b4 u know it shes disappering to another planet ok she made that plauge worse but she seems like a nice person and plus her and sam seemed t become pretty close. But then again they both are smart and friendly ppl and it was nice for what she did at the beginning for sam even though sam could of taken care of herself.

What do you mean you want her back? She came back once already - in Past and Present in season 3. But at the end of that episode she is a heck of a lot younger and does not have the memory of who she is. You want her back again?

And we never actually find out where she comes from because she came to the planet on which she originally set the virus loose. So she could be pretty much anything - Tollen, Aschen, even Furling for all we know! laugh.gif

Ya, but then again she hadn't seen a woman for who knows how many years. I'm glad that Sam didn't get hurt by that big fat guy.

seeming nice is poorbaly one of her tactics. i think that she seems nice and then a world trusts her a little and lets her in, then she can destroy them.

As I understand, Hitler was supposed to be a very charming individual in person. I would not want to be on his social calender, though.

This was the very first episode I saw. At first, I wasn't very impressed, but towards the end of the episode it had my intrest. I've been watching it in reruns and have seen most of seasons 2 &3.

As for the episode, I liked what Jack said to Teal'c about "looking scary". I can't remember the quote. Since it was my first episode, I did get the wrong impression of Teal'c.

At least she knows a lot about how to destroy worlds effective -> from an advanced planet.
but I don't think she's ashen, because they kill 'Softly' meaning planning to conquer a world (not destroy) slowly (beeing not obviosly evil).
Or maybe therefore she is - not fitting into the ashen way of life and beeing banned?

you reckon she's gonna return? I mean, she still got her memory although she can't remember.
But she's a scientist - as soon as she feels that there's something different/wrong with her she'll start trying to find a way - and wow - if that chemical barrier would fail she would be the quite dangerous again!!!

We know that they weren't Goa'uld worlds because when the blind man saw her he was angry. He later told SG-1 about the destroyed worlds.

when they got back to sgc in the apisode linea gave some information of atomic level cold fusion or summit like that wket happened to that technology? that was some pretty unbelievable stuff- been able to make a plant power a stargate like that- wouldn't that come in handy?

Believe it or not, last night was the first time I have seen this episode and I thoroughly enjoyed it. the set was atmospheric and really portrayed a sense of despair and hopelessness.
I must admit that given the stature of the Taldor (ie their advancedness), i was surprised that nothing more more was heard from them at the end. After all, SG1 managed to escape and freed Linea "evil old woman". For a people so advanced you'd also have thought that they'd have kept better tabs on the prisoners whilst they were on Hadante. Allowing Linea access to bits and bobs that allowed her to work her mojo can not have been too clever a move. huh.gif
Overall though a very good episode in my opinion

well, as a defense to those advanced aliens- having a stargate with no power source and dialing machine is pretty good deterent in my books to stop people getting off the planet so i don't think they ever thought they needed to keep tabs on there prisoners.

They may have been technologically advanced, but their legal system was definately on the primative side. Only one punishment for all crimes? Come on....

They never had to deal with SG1!. Of course we're going to be able to get out even though no one else ever could.
