I have to laugh everytime I see somebody piloting an Al'Kesh or cargo ship... none of them have any idea what they are supposed to do with the controls, because there aren't any, at all... They are just told to look like they know what they are doing and pretend to push buttons.
The look on his face was priceless, though. Oh Vala... |

I have that same thought every time I see someone at the controls. It's crazy. There is one seen where the guy looks constipated. I will have to figure out what ep it is, and get a screenshot. |

At the end of season 7, they are still wondering where Atlantis might be.
However, on "Prometheus Unbound" (S08E12) it seems they already sent an expedition to Atlantis in the Pegasus galaxy, and the Prometheus is going on a rescue mission because they have lost contact with it. So, when did they finally learn the location of Atlantis? Did I miss an episode? |

Dr. Wier is in charge of the SGC in Episode 1, and hands over command to General O'Niell at the end of Episode 2. This aired on July 9, 2004 (2 episodes for a 2 hour premiere). On July 16th, 2004 (the next week), the Atlantis series premiered. Daniel found the gate address to Atlantis at the chair site in Antarctica, and an expedition heads on out (headed by Dr. Wier (and are not heard from again). This aired on July 16th, 2004 (2 episodes for a 2 hour premiere). Promethius Unbound aired on January 28th, 2005. They knew how to get to Atlantis via hyperspace by using the gate coordinates.
