Three simple things:
- Pathetic plots that went no-where...very often being full of holes so big you could fit the entire galaxy into them. - Ill conceived ideas. - Failure to monopolise on potential. This was especially true post season 3, when they basically said "screw it...we're giving them good stories on DS9, lets give them a bit of t&a on here". By the end we saw them finding a miraculous way to skip ahead 10,000 light years every other episode (so by the time they'd finished, they should have not only reached Earth but actually have over-shot and ended up in the next galaxy), and starting on a trend of plagiarising stories from earlier Trek and other franchises...a trend that wasn't broken until season 4 of Enterprise started! Not to mention the pussification of the Borg...and once threatening and deadly enemy, turned into about as much of a menace as the inter-galactic Avon. If it was just a sci fi series it would have been good, but as a Star Trek series it was just awful. |

The 'pussification' of the Borg originated in ST:TNG, and was further developed in Star Trek: First Contact, after which the Borg were thoroughly 'pussified' in ST: Voyager.

The second time the Borg were disconnected from the collective, the first time they destroyed nearly 40 ships and were only defeated 'cause they happened to have a link into the collective in the form of Picard. Come VGR, we saw a single ship virtually take out the entire collective again and again. If a single ship can be that powerful, it really does make the rest of Starfleet look incredibly incompetent. |

A single ship that was far more advanced than anything Starfleet had.
 Besides, it was uber easy to destroy the Borg in First Contact.. it took like 2 seconds once the Enterprise was there. |

i found voyager the best series mainly because unlike the other series thy couldnt just go hey admiral bla bla bla i need a fleet of ships here to help us in a conflict, which was what they wud usually do every 5 seconds in the other series even though the backup turned up 2 or 3 hours late >.< and at the end of the episode they couldnt just go, set a course for starbase 224 or somin which was what they always used to do at the end of tng and restock supplies so there
