The only part i liked about this episode was at the end when Carter said to Colson:
Welcome to my world! |

QUOTE(The Gate Guy @ Aug 27th 2004, 9:50 PM) I was always wondering when someone would bring out some proof about the existence of aliens. I mean, what were the odds that no one saw that massive battle in antarctica. Also, about the cover-up...another asteroid/meteor shower? Isn't that becoming a little repetative? Exactly what is the chance that no one saw that battle i mean with the sattilites. and the meteor shower was a pretty lame cover up story. |

this was a great episode and while there wasnt much off world scenes...i guess this was pretty good and really interesting.
it was good to see some media...someone trying to blow everything up in stargate command. |

Well, I just finished reading the transcript of the episode as it does not air in Canada until this upcoming Thursday night on SPACE channel. Here are my thoughts:
One: The Trust aka NID is back so strong (as was mentioned on I believe season 7 DVDs) because the VIEWERS wanted it to be explored more. People were writing into the studeos begging for more. So here we have it. What happens people bitch. That makes me laugh. Two: It had to happen sooner or later that the "Lost City" battle would come to light and it needed to be addressed. And so it has been. And in a way that I like. Three: Teal'c was absent because his "Im living in an apartment off base" episode was being filmed and as many of you SG1 addicts would know the shows are shot out of sequence. He only had a few lines because, as DeLuise(sp?) says, to keep the character alive in the series. As we tend to have short memories and would concoct some outlandish theory in our head that the directors had killed him off or something. I love the character development that is going on. It brings fresh air into the series and if you havent noticed it seems to be setting up some excitement into episodes later in the season. I only wish we were not so far behind the rest of the world. As we have only seen upto 807 so far. Anyhoo, more to comment on after Thursdays airing of the episode. |

Well I just watched this episode. I don't understand why so many people are not enjoying Stargate this year. I am loving it. I will take off world, on world, or virtual world. This episode HAD to happen. It would not be believeable to say that that huge air battle would not be seen by the public. Now it has been dealt with.
I loved the little asgard. He was so cute. But he did not look scared, just blank and it seemed the flashes bothered his eyes. I like the asgards increased involvement in earth. O'Neill seems to be lightening up. That is ALWAYS a good thing. Loved the car and Danny in a suit. Good episode overall. |

Well I can see why people didnt really enjoy this season,
but the part where Thor was beamed into the studio was extremely funny. And he even talked ! |

I was rewatching this episode and I noticed something, the logo for Coulson's company is the logo for the Sci-Fi channel, but it has been rotated so that it is upside down.

(incressed speed, more firepower and so on) We can only hope .. overall statement about the episode; eheehhmm*clearing throat* .... BOOORIING!, except for the asgard input. Didn't really amount to anything solid.. we got a corporate ally(of course, a discredited one), the asgard were around(just for the fun of it) .. and, o yes, the Trust is evil... yeah, we got that in the last episode(Affinity), thank you very much.. |

How did Colson feed the clone?
We have surmised that the Asgard consume an entirely synthetic substance that has made urination and defacation obsolete... (assuming they did those things long ago). So, what could the scientists have fed the little thing? |

So, what could the scientists have fed the little thing? Well, maybe their bodies are just 100% efficient. Remember when Carter was working with Thor for some time, he realized that she was hungry, he offered her some of the food that the Asguard ate. If a human can eat their food, they would probably be able to eat ours. |

Yeah, but based on Carters reaction to their food there is no guarantee that the clone would have liked it
I saw this episode about 4 days ago or so, it's a good episode I've always kinda thought that. Quite a good ending, I thought it was very well dealt with. But not watching it in context of all the earth episodes that were happening at the time and just enjoying it as a single episode made it better for me I think. |

I meant more that I wondered if the Asgard ate synthetically created food that has no metabolic byproducts for their bodies...
