Which Star Trek series is your favourite?
My personal favourite is of course DS9, great stories, great characters, great humour, great action, SFX, plotline... etc etc etc The only scifi series except for Stargate that has ever felt... "real" to me... |

I would vote for DS9 as well. it was a slow starter but once it got into it's stride it was by far the most interesting of the Star Trek series.
TNG was not bad but I didnt like Voyager and havent seen much of Enterprise. TOS is a classic but really shows it's age! |

Another vote for DS9... All of the other star trek series tended to become characatures of themselves, not thinking so much out of the box. It's odd because I watched a thing about Star Trek and they said that it was difficult to set up DS9 because they had to have the adventure come to them and not go to the adventure... but I think it was less cliched than the other series where they had a ship that could go anywhere!
DS9 had a continuous storyline (at least after the first couple of seasons) where there was an underlying theme that lay behind most of the episodes... it had character development... it had the Defiant (the second-best looking sci-fi ship ever, IMHO.)... it had an exploration of moral issues that didn't ram the meaning down your throat with no room for maneuver. It had everything I like when I look at sci-fi shows. |

DS9 is, without a doubt, the best Star Trek series ever (it's at the very least a close to second to Stargate SG1).
My only problem with Deep Space Nine, however, is the excess amount of romance in the plot. I just felt that it was unecessary to have so many relationships going on (the other Star Trek's didn't have as much romance). Aside from this, however, every other aspect of the series was great (visual effects, character development, actors, etc..). The Dominion wars, of course, were the best: ![]() |

I Being an older member I really do prefer the original series. I just couldnt get into DS9.Although ST TNG was quite good with Patrick Stewart, he rocked.

I'm surprised soo many people like DS9. It was a slow starter, and I never really got into it. Same thing with Voyager though, really slow start. However, I did start to get into it, and by the end I would say it was a great show. The next generation was very good too, and Enterprise is not too shabby. Guess I am a Trek fan eh?

I must agree that DS9 started quite slowly, they just hang there in their big frikkin station, just meddling around with the bajorans, but then the Dominion introduced it self. Sisko shaved of his hair, grew beard and got a warship. Then things started to get REALLY interesting. For me, DS9 and Stargate are equally good.
Obediance brings victory, and victory is life... Any sci fi fan that can't enjoy a battle with over 3000 Starships hasn't seen DS9... ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I know Star Trek, TNG and Voyager. I never really watched DS9 and the new Enterprise show.
Out of the ones I watched I like The Next Generation most. Jean-Luc Picard was a good leader and there were a lot more members I like, Riker, Tasha Yar, Worf, Data, both Crusher's... And the episodes were very interesting, especially the ones on holodeck. Voyager was ok too, I like the melody in the beginning, I think it's the best Star Trek melody ever. I don't know if I'll watch it again when there is a new show because I don't think it will be the last (the new Enterprise show). It depends on the time it plays, after TNG or before. Hurra, hurra, ich flieg mit Picard; oh welch ein Gl?ck, ich flieg mit Jean-Luc... |

Indeed, TNG was also very good. One of my favourite moments was in one of the last episodes called "Pararells", when several hundreds of thousands of Enterprises started emerging from other timelines...
I can also agree with you that Voyager had the best ending of all series, it was great. I enjoyed the series, but didn't find it near as thrilling as DS9. However, it was the series that actually introduced me to Trek in it's earlier years... Care to translate on that song btw? please? |

Definitely my fav is Voyager however i'm quite keen on Enterprise so i'll wait till that completely finishes before I decide which one i like the best. Also like TNG and DS9 but Voyager tops the list for the time being!

I chose Voyager. For one reason is that there is a women being captain, when all the other star trek programmes are all men. Plus Voyager has been though alot in seven years. It had a intresting ending for the season.

I quite agree: Star Trek: The Original Series: Boooooooooooooring, just way to old for me. Star Trek: The Next Generation: Quite interesting, it became a bit repetative though. Star Trek: Deep Space 9: First seasons were kinda sucky. The entire Dominion kicked butt though. The spaceships were awesome. Weyoun was coolest character and the Founder really an evil personage. Loved them both. Only big turn of was the whole Bajoran crap. They should have been wiped out. Star Trek: Voyager: Same as DS9: It started out boring but with 7 of 9 and the Borg it became cool. Star Trek: Enterprise: I weep for the future of ST. UTTER crap. |

I'm the one who voted for enterprise...
I watched all the episodes of TOS, TNG and ENT and most of the episodes of VOY and DS9. The Difference I found in enterprise was "continuity". When U watch an episode of TOS or TNG or VOY or DS9, the events that take place end at the end of episode. There is like no (not none) two-parter episodes at all. But if U watch ENT (for example the last 7 episodes of the 3rd season), U realise that the action never ends and U can't wait to see what will ahppen in the next episode.... |

I voted for Enterprise, I can?t believe people voted for DS9, except for the huge battle at the end it was crap. Prophets, Wormhole gods, romance between ugly aliens, it was just weird and boring. I voted Enterprise closely followed by Voyager because I like the quality of the sets and costumes, TNG, DS9 had the worst looking graphics but TNG wasn?t boring like DS9.

StarTrek: The next generation is my fave of the treks.
I loved it so much because its the one i grew up with. I liked the fact that it has British actors and i just loved the plots. Plus this was the series that Q appeared in most. But Voyager is also really cool. I liked the fact that it had a female captain and unknown territory. |
