It's a really good site, I enjoy being here. I don't need another forum
The site is neatly arranged, the colors are ok, everything makes sense and I love the details, they are a lot better than on other sites, the smileys and the ranking pictures for example. And you have an own email account, chat... It's great to have joined this site. Very good work Arcady |

It is pretty cool, and the overall result is better. The only thing I don?t like is that you now have to go through 2 menus to get to a specific season on the episode guide. It?s fine to do this through the forums, but when I am going through several different seasons, it is annoying.

The menus should pull down and give you access to any season directly without clicking through two pages. Just hover over "episode guide" and the list of seasons will pop up. Also, each season page now has links at the bottom to the next and previous season, along with the javascript popup menu. |

But the alternate skin(at least the one I use) doesn't have that pull down menu option. So my guess would be that andy is using an alternate skin therefore has to go through a couple pages to get to the seasons. |

You're right about that. I have not had time to add the new menus to the alternate skins yet. I'll try to get them working this week. Edit: I have added preliminary support for the new menus on the alternate skins. This post has been edited by Arcady: May 10th 2004, 2:11 AM |

Yeah I know what you mean Rax, its not bad but the only thing i find annoying is that theres not a direct link from offtopic to the computer or sports forums anymore.

I like the changes. I was annoyed before when I would log on just to to post in the Movie or Sports section and had to go into Off Topic first. Also, some people play the games so much it seems that is all you see sometimes on the main page, so good going Arcady. edit - the mods can make a redirect games thread in Off Topic to solve the issue. I liked it when the whole loitering zone was just off-topic, because then I would post in games and browse off-topic(usually the politics/war thread) until someone replied. Now I have to go further out. It would be nice if games had two places you could get to it from; Loitering Zone and Off-Topic. That way, people who posted in games could wander around off-topic when they're not in games.

I always use the 'active topics' search so it doesn't matter to me where the forums are and what topic is in what forum and how they are linked. I answer to the topics that are very active, and if I want to look for older ones I do direct search or I say 'topics within the last month' e.g.
I tried all different settings that are available and it's nice that you can even say how much topics and posts in a topic you want to see listed, especially for people with older PC's and smaller resolutions (like mine). And the alternate skins are great, I liked the light blue default setting very much but now I use the black alternate II one and it's just fantastic. One thing that's funny is that you see all the spoilers because you have white font on a black background. Man I love that site |

"loitering":To stand around without any obvious purpose. In some regards the new designation for the off-topic chatter forums is accurate. "To stand around" infers a lack of progression and/or development, which is accurate of this section of the forums in that its discussions offer no progression and/or development to the area of Stargate SG1. I'm assuming that Arcady is working under the thought process that discussing Stargate is like "moving forward" and not discussing Stargate is the equivalent to "remaining stationary". Either that or I'm just overthinking stuff, like I always do Anyways, I like the new expansions made to the index page. It gives newcommers an idea of how massive this site truly is. |

I'm a nOOb and my thoughts dont count as much as others, but I am going to give my two cents worth anyway.
I like the main Forums page better There are four "zones" SG1 Discussion, Atlantis Discussion, Loitering, and News & Announcements It seems to me that if I am in a zone, I should have links with the "Last Post" information for each forum within that zone. Similar to the way the Music/Movies link previously was under the Off Topic Section. There has been the "redirect" links added to the Off-Topic area only, but you don't know if there has been a recent change to those areas. It seems cumbersome to me.
