You know, I would just hate to see Sam 'settle' for less than she deserved, and I think that's what Pete was. The writers were trying to make him the complete opposite of Jack and in doing so, made him, well, boring. There was no spark there whatsoever.

And I finally saw the dog food commercial! |

I'd have to agree there... And I finally saw the dog food commercial! You know, A&E had a "CSI-Miami" marathon last weekend, so I found out when "Payback" was on so I cold see MS looking all lovely on that big boat, with the blue sweater and bleached hair. Anyway, on the very next episode, this couple was getting busy at a party, guy goes to hang up his jacket and boom-dead guy falls out of the closet. It was David DeLuise, who was a no-good guy and deserved to get offed. |

Not only was Pete boring, but they tried real hard to make him a couple with Sam. They tried it without any real introduction. Then on top of that HE STALKED SAM, plain and simple. Sam told her she couldn't tell him what she did, but did he listen, no. He had to stalk her and find out. Sam did settle for Pete only because she wanted to have a family and children, and she couldn't have Jack.

So now that Sam is in Atlantis, what does that mean to the Jack-Sam relationship....if there ever really is one. Maybe that's the science fiction part of Stargate.....not that they can travel to other parts of the universe with alien technology.

How exactly do relationships between two people fall into the category of science fiction? |

How exactly do relationships between two people fall into the category of science fiction? If it's a science fiction show and it deals with the relationship between two people, then it falls into the category! But it's more the human development of Stargate, the Sci fi part of stargate is already taken with zap guns and stuff. This post has been edited by Invisible Painting: Dec 13th 2007, 7:18 PM |
