I did search, and surprisingly nothing came up...so here it is.
What should happen to Pete? I think he should live and break up with Sam, for two reasons. 1) To break the black widow curse, freeing sam's cute boyfriends from their fate 2) He's an idiot, but not dangerous. All opinions are welcome |

I liked Pete. So what if he had a background check on his g/f? How many of you haven't googled someone's name before? It's the same thing. I hope Pete and Sam actually make it, and if they do break up, I don't think she needs to go running to Jack.

I'm torn between my desire for Sam to be happy and have a boyfriend that doesn't die, and my duties as a shipper
 Pete's not so bad. He was sweet with the roses and stuff, it's just I'd rather have seen Sam end up with somebody like Nareem or Joe (from 2001/2010).I'm still not sure where I stand with Pete and Sam actually. But I'll not be impressed if he dies, he doesn't deserve that. |

Sam and Pete stay together. Sam and Pete break up. It's really all the same to me. Pete dying, however, is not acceptable. And not just because I like the guy
 . Another "black widow" death would put the show in soap opera territory. Not a bad place, just not anywhere I want to see SG-1 go. |

here's what i think should happen to pete
sam should find out that pete did the background check on her and was following her around, then it should turn out pete works for the rogue NID. but as they are about to arrest pete he gets away - so he's out there like maybourne. |

Jonas wasn't my fave character either but he did have good points. Pete seems to just have been brought in just to provide a love interest but there is no "interest" from what I see of him. No chemistry between them and it seems an obvious tactic to think Sam is moving her life on after her talk with "Jack" on the ship. If the writers want to do that then they should have brought someone in with whom there is excellent chemistry and whom there would be a chance at him talking Sam "away" from Jack. With Pete there would never be a snowball's chance in hell in real life. |

Ares, Odin, and Rookie: this is not an "I hate Pete" topic. This is a poll, for everyone to express their opinions. Look at the poll, and you can see a range of choices. I understand that Pete is with Sam, for now and the forseeable future. Look at the subtitle, it asks "what should happen to Pete". All Pete-lovers can feel free to post here. Seven: I agree with you, Pete is just a follow-up to Grace. Why couldn't she have dated Barrett? I agree with the viewpoint that it's great that Sam got laid, however I don't think she's a virgin. Remember Capt. Jonas Hansen(The First Commandment)? They were engaged, and judging by her willingness to have sex with Pete, she and Capt. Hansen probably spent a few nights together. I don't think I would have chosen to do that, but I won't yell about it. |

I don't think that Pete should die (so not fair on Sam!). But I do think that they may break up -not just because I'm a Sam/Jack shipper. I almost liked Pete until the background check thingy. That was really my problem with him-trust issues. Even my husband thought that the background check was well out of order and he never voluntarily comments on such things!
I can honestly say that I've never 'googled' anyone, but then I don't know anyone on a personal level that is likely to be 'google'-able! It's apparent that AT & DD got on really well off screen (check out interviews, DVD extras etc), but I don't think that this translated very well into on screen chemistry |

I agree that there is no chemistry between Sam and Pete.
Having her hook up with Agent Barrett would be a better match -- I like him, and they seem genuinely intrigued with each other--what a hoot this would be: an NID counteragent having an affair with, and feeding info to, the legendary Maj. Carter! What will Kinsey do when he finds out??? Worried.  |

Ooo, sounds like a good episode of "As the Chevrons Turn". It would be best if Pete had never happened, and the follow-up to Grace was Sam just mentioning that she was dating a guy. If they just took the elevator scene from Chimera, and that was all the romance in that episode, that would be good. The whole Pete thing really didn't add to the storyline. |

What will Kinsey do when he finds out??? ok i could deal with her with agent berrett,i like agent berrett i kind of have the same attitude toward her relashionships as jack, as long as she's happy, it's cool. we all know in the long run she won't be happy with pete. if he is that of a control freak that he has to know everything about her, after there first time together, sooner or later he will go all possasive of her. and most of us know what that leads to- restraining orders. i am still hoping for sam to finally get together with jack. |

Hmm...judging from the results of this poll, I'm even more hesitant to start a Positive Pete thread. I honestly don't see why people hate him so. I can understand having a dislike for the guy, but why would anyone go so far as to want him dead? If I started a Positive Pete thread, it'd have (maybe) 3 good posts in it.
Besides, I'm pretty reluctant to add to the plethora of ship topics, even if they do mostly involve only Jack/Sam. I like Pete, and I'm glad he's dating Sam. I hope they stay together till the end of the show. At which point she'll go home with the Ascended Martouf, and Jack will start talking to Sara again. That's how it should be. I'm frustrated, and I don't know why. It's a shame I'm even scared to start a topic. |

I'm no shipper but I don't like Pete either. I hope his plot will end soon. I don't wanna see crappy things between Carter and Pete, it's a show about a StarGATE and not a StargateSHIP. Just my opinion. |
