Stargate SG-1 fans in Australia (region 4) will get the Season 4 DVD boxed set on Tuesday, 17 August 2004. The 6-disc set is comprised of the same volumes that were previously released singly, packaged in a cardboard box. (And at a much lower price, presumably.)
You can pre-order the set from DVD Orchard: Stargate SG1 - Complete Season 4 DVD (dvdorchard.com.au) Also, check it out our complete listing of Region 4 DVD's here. |

I just buy the US onces, costs about the same and hey you get them about 2 years before the Australian ones finally come out...Perhaps one day life will be easier and they will release it worldwide all at once, something tells me thats unlikely though, Ah well

Same. Yeah I really doubt DVD's will be released world wide. Just one of the bad things about living in Australia. Still could be worst. We could live NZ and get them 3 years later |

I've put the money towards it already. I like season four. It has some of my favorite episodes in it.

I got mine today - it is awesome! Much better DVD layout then the previous three boxed sets - and the speical features are EXCELLENT!
The Stargate Movie is finally coming out on DVD in Australia on the 15th of September and the Season five boxed set is coming out on the 17th of November. Hope it helps, ~Artemis~ |

I got mine today too! Yay! I love them! The special features are great, especially Teryl Rothery's video diary, she is so funny! "Fraiser spice boots" LoL!
I also like the red box, very cool! Will the Stargate movie DVD have any special features? I just taped it off the telly a few weeks ago but I guess DVD lasts longer. |

I don't know but i think they bare mad by a different compony. My first three boxes sort of boldge at the sides but this new one is nice a straight. I love it. I'm happy it came out a day sooner. The box looks really nice to. My dvd collection is getting quite big know.

I can't remember where I heard it or if it's even true but I heard that part of the FOX network company makes the boxed sets now and that that was one of the reasons they have taken so long to get here, I also heard a rumour that they had to be recalled or something about a year and a half ago but again I'm not exactly sure. My collection is getting quite large too, I couldn't wait for S5 box set so I bought them singular already and the first S6 disc which has also come out recently. I love special features!

In relation to the Stargate movie DVD, it's the "Ultimate" addition.
Special Features: * 2 Versions Of The Film - Director's Cut And Original Theatrical Release * Behind The Scenes Of The Film * Storyboard * Photo Gallery * Making Of * Trailer * Filmographies Hope that helps ~Artemis~ |

I think the quality of the picture is much better and i have a feeling that there is more frames a minute compared this the other seasons.
Edit: I just noticed something about the volumes. The fifth one is wrong. I have shown a picture of the problem. This post has been edited by S.G.C: Aug 21st 2004, 4:28 AM |

Wow, didn't notice that. Maybe they put it that colour and missed out on the filling cause it's got 2 discs ... after checking the other boxed sets, I think I'm just making excuses

Yeah, nice catch!
Is it just me or is Teal'c looking airbrushed or what? I know the guys got good skin but he looks like his out of a Max Factor advertisement... Anyway while I've recently been becoming more aquainted(sp?) with S4 I'd have to say it is slowly becoming my favourite season. Those audio commentaries are hilarious! Especially the ones with Peter DeLuise. I recommend the commentries for Beneth the Surface and Prodigy. |

I totally agree magnavox! Peter DeLuise is extremely funny. The guy just cracks me up with the stuff that comes out of his mouth. His references to beefcakes and wanting the ring of jello made me laugh aloud! I have to go ahead and recommend them as well. Other then Peter being funny they, as well as other audio commentaries offer a glimpse into how much hard work gets put into this show. With the whole air brush thing, I agree magnavox - he just generally looked ... off in those promotional photos. I hated it when they put all that gold crap on his face - luckily they don't do it anymore ~Artemis~ This post has been edited by ArtemisNightshade: Aug 21st 2004, 11:28 PM |

I also like the video diary he did about the S5 ep. The Tomb *talking to a pile of rubble supposedly covering RDA* "Richard would you like me to get you a sandwich?" LoL!
I love the whole 'finding out how the show works' aspect of the commentaries and the video diaries/ behind the scenes stuff e.t.c. I've always wanted to work behind the scenes in television and am currently working toward that goal, it's nice to see the kind of thing I'm getting myself into! |
