I have been reading the replies in my last Spoiler and specualtion question (Is Anubis really dead?) and i found that people were beginging to talk about Fraiser quite often so i thought i would put up a new topic.
Through my reading i found that people are either speculating the asguard cloned her (can't figure out why they would do that) or the sgc use a sarcofagous but i didn't find anyone relating to the ancient device that daniel found on eartyh that by all means has impressive healing capabilities for instance BRINGING BACK THE DEAD (although i wouldn't know if that guy was more of a zombie type creature) Anyway please reply if you have any other suggestions, speculations, info hints tips and tricks |

I agree with anubis_hitac, clearly there was a reason for the producers getting rid of Janet Fraiser. I mean, it's quite rare that television producers ever intentionally kill off a character only to bring them back later; as usually it has something to do with the actors/actresses no longer wanting to do the part anymore (like Michael Shanks and Don S Davis).
Awaiting confirmation but I'm pretty sure that Teryl Rothery left the show on her own behalf; in which case I seriously doubt that she would ever return in anything more than a guest appearance. However, we can never 100% rule out her return; since as we've seen with Michael Shanks, anything's possible. |

Actually the producers wanted to kill her off because they thought it was going to be the last season but then found out they were getting Season 8 and felt bad about. But they then thought it would make a good episode, so they made her staff blast.

I really don't think anyone knows. It's hard to say what goes on behing the closed doors in SG staff meetings and negotiations. I don't think anyone really wants to leave...we've seen RDA come back for three more seasons than he planned on out of loyalty...we've heard DD talk about how much he loves being on the show and how he has the best job in TV...yet he's leaving to some extent in S8, though exactly how much he's gone we really don't know. We've seen Shanks take a "leave of absence" so to speak because he was burnt out at the time.
I have my theories about MS leaving...such as I don't think he ever really left...I think they worked it out so he could take a year off...I think they secretly planned on bringing him back the whole time...but if fans knew that, even now, they'd be pissed probably, so they keep it a secret. Either way you look at it...we have no idea why TR left...and may never really know for sure. In any case, I'm sure she left on good terms and could feasably be brought back should they ever wish to do so. CE |

i think that they will bring Janet Fraiser back in the last few epesodes of stargate and then get transfered into the Atlantas base as she never realy wanted to leave the show.

Yeah, TR did say she didn't want to leave the show, and AT even tried to convince TPTB to *not* kill Fraiser.
However, as much as I hated to see Janet die, I think her heroic death would be cheapened if she came back. I'm not against flashbacks and limited use of AU, but don't kill her off for the emotional impact and then decide to have her back every other episode. Let Janet rest in peace and move on. |

Season 8 opens with SG-1 waking up in the infirmary with good ole Doc Fraiser checking their vital signs....season 7 was all a dream.
Apart from time travel or an alternate reality, I don't see how Janet could be brought back. Teryl on the other hand is another matter entirely. I think it would be cool if she came back as a totally different character. Lots of interesting possibilities there. |

That'd be good, but then wed have to make S6 part of the dream too, otherwise Danny boy would never of returned cos that would of been a dream too. So everything from meridian onwards was a dream. That'd work. |

They could always bring back Heimdall the Asgard as a regular character. Heimdall was awesome. So cheerful and upbeat all the time. |

I doubt whether Heimdall will be back either. Since Teryl Rothery didnt want to leave Stargate, i cant see the producers asking her to voice Heimdall's part, after they wrote her out of the show.

If she didn't really want to leave the show then I have a question;
"Just what did Teryl DO to piss off the top people in charge of the show?" I think it was a drastic step to take- but then again Don S. Davis is leaving the show as well and what with Jack having a "lesser" role next season... Looks like we're losing more than just Janet Fraiser. I personally think its a cryin shame. I love that doc- she was cool. |

When MS left he still came back as the voice of Thor. But honestly, Heimdall wasn't all that important. |

Hmmmm...she didn't do anything. She left the show on good terms and if there is a way to bring the actress back in some way...I'm sure they would love to. They didn't kill off Frasier because anyone was angry with her. It was a dramatic story line and an attempt a realism. It worked and was a powerful episode. I will miss her. But realise, when someone is killed off in a show...it doesn't always mean that there were problems backstage. B5 did it because it was part of the story. But if the writing is good and you love the universe, you come back because you know it will still fulfill. And I guess I'm one of the few who believe that the folks on this show will want to give it one hell of a send-off. So I expect S8 to be wonderful. |

First, I have no doubts she is not coming back. I would love to see it, but it just isnt gonna happen
Is there any reason, she did not ascend? They actually didnt even show her when she died. The only shots are from the film that Daniel was shooting. I love the Daniel as ascended, but that was because of the Daniel/Jack bantor that MS and RDA have. I do have concerns that if they show her ascended, it will be like been here done that. |

I think it would be silly for her to ascend...i didnt like how Skaara ascended
Ascension is supposed to be for highly trained minds...Janet wasnt. I dont like how they are making people ascend left and right....making the show like fairy tale sorta feeling |

I liked the character and the actress but I don't think that she will come back. If she does (as an Asgard clone, an ascended or reincarnated in a sea turtle, or whatever you want) I would be disappointed. There was a lot of emotions in Heroes part 2. It would be all spoiled by Janet's return.

in my opinion it's best if she doesn't come back.
her death really turned the story around and gave season 7 the twist it needed. when i saw that episode i was shocked for a moment there, and couldn't belive that they would kill off a character. but again i feel thats where season 7 really hit it off. |
