Yes, This has been discussed before...kind of
I don't think anyone likes it though. ((Correction: no one really likes it))

It was touched on in this thread which was slightly off topic:

Oh yea, what is Stargate Infinity, i heard its a stupid embarresing cartoon that has nothing to do with Stargate. Have you seen it.
http://www.tvtome.com/StargateInfinity/

Yes, it's a stupid cartoon that is in my opinion a disgrace to Stargate. Luckily it has been cancelled and they aren't going to make any more episodes

((while typing this Raz beat me to the first reply)) :: And as Raz helps support the evidence of Infinity being cr*p...I take it the show sucks.

And the wonderful poll: click here

Why the hell they bothered to make this series is beyond me.

It sucks, it's crap, bloody awful, waste of time, shite....... get my drift?

The best that could happen is that they get all film, tape, discs etc.... of Stargate Infinity and burn the lot so as never to disgrace the good name of Stargate ever again!

It's crap have you heard the lyrics to the song they're laughable!! I don't know where in hell they are gonna gain money from this show as no sane person would buy the DVD's and no little kid is gonna say "mummy can i have Stargate Infinity for Xmas", i mean please!! Confuzzled.gif

Well I have only ever heard of it on here and gateworld ... and I am glad that they have never shown it here down under. lol they most likly never will!
That's just what our T.V stations are like. They let the other counties fillter out the crap shows before they hit our side of earth. however this doesn't stop the crap shows that are produced here ... and some of them are REALLY bad!

I'll put it this way: The DVD was released in October, and Amazon.com hasn't even bothered to LIST it yet.

Think of crap. Then think of something worse. Stargate Infinity is almost that good.

(Oh, and you won't find any official info about it on this site, because I choose not to write articles about horrible shows.)

Holy crappy ugly picture, Batman!! That's the first time I've ever seen a picture of the characters, and I must say, I will need a new pair of eyes. If that's 30 years into the future, then I'm gonna kill myself to escape the horrible, unforgiving future.

Well what I don't understand is why a show that is as unpopular as Stargate Infinity can possibly warrant a DVD release. Usually only television series that are particularly popular ever get released on DVD. As for childrens cartoons; I was not even aware that they were even being released as DVDs. What makes things even stranger is the fact that Infinity was cancelled and yet it is still being released on DVD. I guess that somebody out there must like Infinity; just no one here biggrin.gif .

Ah, I believe what you are asking about is called merchandising!

You see, MGM has this thing where they like to make money and this is a very desparate attempt to do just that.

The first time I ever happened across the crap that is Stargate: Infinity, was very early in the morning and I wasn't fully awake. At first I thought I was having some kind of weird nightmare... And then, I realized.. I wasn't dreaming!! AAAHHH!!! sad.gif

If only this were true then I could forgive MGM for infinity, but it isn't. MGM does for merchandising what Britney Spears did for heavy metal. Take a look around and see how much official SG-1 merchandise you can find in any sci-fi store.

They should make a cartoon that is actually based on the show and not some other made-up characters
