I would have to say that the goa'uld hand device would be the best weapon. I say this because it has the ability to a great many things ie. throw people backwards, put them to sleep, slowly kill them, quickly kill them, send a charge-like explosion, erect a forcefeild, activate a ring transporter, etc.. Well the list goes on and on. Clearly there is no other weapon on the list above that can do as many things as the goa'uld hand device.

I definatly have to agree with Apis about the Ribbon Device being not only the coolest but most powerful.
Its an all purpose weapon designed not only to kill but to torture and interrogate. No wonder everyone thinks the Goa'ulds are gods. |

zats are best when infiltrating the enemy, 3 shots and they disapear
when interrogating a enemy soldier.. shoot them once and then tell them that the next shot is lethal P90 is the best weapon of choice in a firefight |

I would say hand device for one on one and short range, but a zat otherwise. The ribbon device is just so limiting.

What do you mean short range? We saw that Tok'ra guy fire a hand device blast at Teal'c all the way up a hill in the episode "Deadman Switch". So clearly the hand device can also work at long range too.
Yah, but who's going to think that a hand device is a weapon? They'll probably just think that it is the latest fashion craze |

I voted for the P-90 because of that episode. It showed just how versatile the primative weapons of the Tau'ri really are. |

Zat may be the most versitile but i would prefer the hand device. It seems like a more powerful weapon. Out of the bunch there, I think that it could really do some damage. I also don't think we have seen all it can do. I am betting there are a few goodies that the system lords are holding back.

the Goa'uld ribbon devise/hand devise has style! Suck people's brains out or make 'em fly with a huge energy boost without the kick/recoil of a weapon like that earth could make.
They are too cool! p.s. if you wanna buy me one pm me so I can give you my mailing address. |

The Zat, not "Zac", is the best weapon, because it can do many things, but it doesn't torture people. It is great for infiltration because it can stun the enemy, kill them, and vaporize them. Sifinetly the best weapon created by the Goa'uld. I agree the Goa'uld hand dervice can do many things, but it is designed for a slow, torturing death, and is not an efficient weapon when faced with many enemies.

P-90.
Range, versatility, accuracy and among all stealth (silencer optional) meaning silent takedowns without revealing your location. But it would entirely depend on what situation you were in. This post has been edited by T.Techie Guru: Sep 20th 2003, 7:29 AM |

Having had time to rethink this, it depends on your preferences . If you want to torture someone, the hand device is the best choice, but the Zat is good for both infiltration and firefight situations.

Well seeing as i am the only one to vote for it i am guessing nobody else put a post up about it.I voted The Tollan Hand weapon because they are like zats but even quieter, plus you can hit things easier with them because they have a more ocused burst of energy than the zat.Thats why i voted for it anyway.

So a focused weapon is easier to hit something with than a spread weapon like a shotgun? I don't get this? |

I think Felger was trying to say that they are more precise in that they can pinpoint a specific target better. E.g. it's going to be easier to hit something with a grenade launcher than a P-90, but if you want to hit JUST this one small thing then it's easier with the P-90. |
