I thought it was really cool the way Apophis totally eluded Sokar's guards. You really felt that "the original bad-ass is back in town!". Sokar just lost it there... doin' one of those copyrighted badguy-screams... You know,

The Devil you Know is the greatest episode in Season 3. You see the downfall opf Sokar and the return of Apophis. The hell scenes are absolutly great, you won't get better than this!!Reece Cheatsreece@trevor1964.plus.com

Again...Not my favorite two parter.
Instead of focusing on what I didn't like for this ep. I'll just say that I thought Apophis' little turncoat maneuver was awesome. Finally this guy shows some fighting skill. The escape was pretty risky... If Teal'c had missed... Well anyway. I liked the end. |

How much did that young girl look like Carter? Great casting there! The Blood of Sokar, interesting concept. And yay! an Australian baddie! I think David Palffy also plays Anubis. The veins were cool, great make up! I would have thought Sokar would want to have more to do with Netu instead of just hearing about all the evil goings on every few days, what's he doing in the meantime? Maybe he's just lazy... For someone who's not qualified to fly a goauld cargo ship Teal'c certainly has some impresive flying skills!

I liked her from the beginning, she is a ravishing beauty. It would be great to see her in another episode playing another role. |

I thought so too. Jack didn't even cave when the dude used his kid against him, so I thought Martouf (as lush as he is) came across as a right sissy. Didn't see anyone else crying... however...perhaps he *was* fakivng it, would've made lying about the whereabouts of the tok'ra world mush more believable. |

This episode wasn't as good as the first part, but the end was great, how Apophis got away. The typical show, Apophis will never die...

I thought part 1 was better too. But it stil was a great episode.
Jack O'Neill: They put that damn memory thing on me. And then they gave me something that reminded me of the '70s. p.s. This is the 11th episode to feature the Tok'ra. They're becoming popular. |

Part 1 was more interesting, but part 2 had a little more action in it, with the mind tapping parts and Martoof bluffing the "GREAT" Apothis, brilliaint.

I just saw this yesterday. I'm new to stargate so bear with me
Why did Apophis came back? I thought he was dead. They showed a tape showing that he was dead in one of the episodes. |

QUOTE Sokar revived Apophis in the sarcophagus Thats it exactly. For some reason watching your enemy die isn't good enough. Apparently most goauld will purposly revive a strong enemy and watch that enemy serve him just for fun. I really dont see why other goauld don't have the brains to hide a $%$@# knife in their sleve. |

Wow i just watched this episode again and forgot how good it was, Sokar is a great Goa'uld, its to bad he had to die so soon. I think they should've developed him into one of the reoccuring system lords like Apophis, but this episode still was great though he died so soon. Apophis coming back the way he did was very impresive, the writers did an excelent job of bringing him back in a believeable way, instead of saying hes just alive again.

Wow, another excellent episode. That Apophis has nine lives. Yes, that was a great way of bringing him back. It seems like this series tries to pay attention to the smaller details. I wonder what Apophis will do, now that he has Sokar's planet and it's resources at his disposal. Really great episode. |

They showed a tape showing that he was dead in one of the episodes. In the episode where you thought he was dead, they sent Apophis through the SG to Sokar to keep him from continually bombarding the SG. When it happened, Martouf told them that Sokar had a sarcophagus and would use it to revive Apophis and torture him over and over again, a fate that he justly deserves. We didn't get a response from SG1, but they did have solemn expressions on their faces. I must admit the first time I saw this, I was surprised that Apophis came back. At least they made him a pretty bad Goa'uld this time around. |

I will admit. I didn't like the Apophis character as much before this episode. He just didn't seem to fit the part...I don't know what it is about the guy who plays him...Oh well. There isn't much we can do now to change this, or even if there was a time, I dont' think we could have. The "new" Apophis I agree with. He just seems to be way more badass. Especially in this episode. It's too bad though that Sokar died, I felt that his character would have been a great enemy for the SGC over the years, like Apophis. It would be a good vs. evil in a true sense of the word. Anyways, another great finish to a two parter, I thought this episode overall tied things up just nicely.

I loved this epsiode its one of my all time faves. that only thing that detracts from its greatest to me is that aphopsis wasn't very subtle with his use of the memeory control divise. I would have thought that from his previous dealings with SG1 that he would know how capaple the are.
