As everyone probably knows by now, the Sci-Fi Channel will be playing the first two episodes of Season 7 on June 13th. Join us here at SG-1 Archive for a live chat event right after the show airs on the east coast, at 11PM (4AM GMT). For all of you who see the episode in other time zones, please join in as the show finishes in your time zone.
Warning: this chat will allow discussion of episodes 701 and 702 (plus the special behind-the-scenes program) so people from countries other than the USA may want to skip this chat. We will schedule a new chat each time season 7 starts in a new country, so you will be able to come in and chat later if you feel left out this time. In order to chat, you can just use the "Live Chat" link on pretty much any page on this site, or you can use your favorite IRC client software (Mirc, ircle, etc) and connect to server irc.wikkedwire.com and join channel #sg1archive. Any guestimations as to how long the chat will run? I'm working Friday night, I live in the Eastern time zone and I need an hour and a half to watch the eps. But I'd love to participate in the chat. I know CA isn't going to get done 'til about then. Any objections if I tag along with them?

I don't believe this....I just got a new part time security job, and they put me on the 12am (SAT) to 8am (SAT) shift, which means if I want to stay awake at work I'm gonna have to tape all 3 hours tomorrow because I'll be getting some sleep, and I'm going to miss the chat...

Oh believe you me, mithwriter, I'm sharing your pain here. I'm still trying to add up the hours to get to participate with CA or HI. I don't get home until after 1am.

When a new episode has aired I go to the chat room to Chat about the episode. But people on there wine about how they don't want spoilers! I thought the Chat was used to CHAT about the latest Eps?

People complain because the chat room isn't meant to be used for discussing things that relate to spoilers - in fact that is one of the rules for the chatroom as there are pretty much always going to be people that don't want to know the spoilers but are there to chat about other Stargate things. This old thread you found was announcing a planned scheduled chat which would specially include spoilers. If you really read carefully you will see that Arcady made a point of saying that the chat would 'allow' spoilers (meaning it doesn't normally). Thanks for the explanation but it still would be nice to go onto the chat room to duscuss the episode that has just aired! I am sure the Americans do the same when they get a newer episode!
