Well this seemed like a good topic to discuss. Simple vote.

I would guess that Eli survives even if through some other clever way of preserving himself. If he couldn't fix the pod perhaps he found a way to dematerialize himself and he is stored somewhere. Similar to that episode of Atlantis where that civilization used wraith beaming tech to store the entire civilization. But so far I don't remember seeing any tech like that on Destiny.

i imagine that while he may not be able to fix the pod, he may infact be saved by other means, such as being found by the Blues, or saved by the monument aliens. while he is smarter than rush, he isn't an engineer himself and has not shown a knack for repai or building of objects. The most he has ever done was spot weld a few Kinos to a sled and acted as if he actually built a floating platform.

I like to think that he survived. Either by using the chair (missing chair scientist, another untied loose end) or some other means. The more and more I think about the ending, I'm glad that they didn't just magically get them all home.

JM explained in his blog that Frankline was subsumed by Destiny and became the basis for the interactive AI.

I know it wasn't said in the show, but I'd take his blog as canon.
