While it sucks for Ginn and Perry, having them as human interfaces with the database will make things easier for the crew as we've already seen.

Something's been bugging me: It doesn't make any sense that Ginn and Eli couldn't touch. It was shown that Ginn and Perry are mental projections, rather than physical ones, so couldn't she touch Eli since it's all in his head?

I guess the technology and connection isn't THAT advanced. Of course, maybe he could feel it, and it's just difficult to act out. *shrug* |

So i wonder, with earth having the asgard database, a fine grasp on cloning as we have succesfully cloned a crude basic asgard, it wouldn't be hard to say that with the proper DNA on hand that the could recreate the bodies of Amanda and Ginn and Download their minds into their new bodies akin to the asgard method.

While I wouldn't disagree with the idea, I get the feeling that the whole point of learning about the Asgard and their plight was a message discouraging cloning. Although their issue was cloning forever to stay alive forever, not just once to save a life. |
