Caprica, the prequel, or sort of! Options

I know that most saw the 2-hour movie months ago, but I saw it for the first time last week on the syfy channel. It was okay, but tonight's show was better, IMO.

So Zoe's mom, now that she knows Zoe had a boyfriend and had the emblem for the terrorists, now believes that she was one and the cause of the explosion. I don't know how she felt that would make it better. Less guilt for her? This way it was Zoe, and not herself that caused Zoe to run away.

Watched the two hour pilot last night. I'll have to watch a few more episodes before I can decide if I like it. I didnt think it was all that good. After seeing the quality of acting and story in Galactica, Caprica seemed like a step down.

Daf, I wasn't thrilled wit the 2-hour pilot, but the actual first run episode was better. At least I have more hope for this show then SGU. Caprica people are BSG people and hopefully will know what they are doing.

My problem is that with The Plan, I loved learning what was planned, how did it happen, why did it happen, etc. It answered questions for me. So far with Caprica, there is one thing that is interesting. I remember when BSG first got started, the first or second season, I remember saying what if we are all cylons. Well that is more or less what happened. What is coming across to me so far with Caprica, the cylons came from humans. Zoe is the prototype, whether an avatar or not, that is human. I just don't know how far they can go with it.

Adama has ordered the death of Graystone's wife. Why because he lost his daughter and wife, so everything needs to be balanced! I had no idea until this prequel that the Adamas came from a mob family. This one, is trying to be a lawyer, but his brother is definitely working for the mob. Yet he doesn't hesitate to go back to the mob when he wants something. The brother, is teaching William about mob business. When I think of Adama from BSG, you see a very honest man. He had to have come far in order to do that because of what he was exposed to.

Teryl Rotherly and Peter Wingfield were on the show. It was nice to see them once again.

I just don't know how far they can go with it.

I was hoping that they would deal with how the war started but there is big span of years to cover - if I recall, the beginning of the pilot said it was 53 years before the Fall and the beginning of Galactica was set 40 years after the First Cylon War ended, so there are 13 years to cover before the Cylons rebel (depending on how long the war lasted).
I'm hoping that the show will continue for a few years and end where Galactica started.

Talk about a dark famly. Sam is part of a crime syndicate and Joseph has no qualms about paying off Judges to get the result he wants. Then he says he wants Greystone's wife dead. The show just got good.
I wasnt expecting William to be so taken in by Sam either.

I'm glad that everyting is going to hell for them. Daniel does whatever he wants to get his own way and Amanda deserves what is happening because of what she did.

I wasnt expecting her to be the one who was getting Zoe's Avatar. The scene when she was in the holo thing was strange, the person she was talking to had a voice like the Cylons in the original series.

It was good to see Teryl again though it was a bit short.
Was that Kat (from Galactica) playing the PR woman for Greystone?
The government agencies seem corrupt, they'd prefer to cover up their own failure rather than identify a person who blew up the train.

man his mother in law is definitely Tauron and has the mob mentality! I think, we saw where Adama decided to make the change and not be so mob centered. He changed his mind about killing the Graystone wife.

it is good to see Peter Winfield from SG1 on the show. Also the man leading the charge at the GDD is from SG1 as well. Obviously there is a leak in their office since the teacher was warned about their raid. She had time to send some kind of message to the students, who were involved, to clean out their lockers.

I didnt enjoy this episode as much as the others.

I wasnt expecting Sam to kill Amanda as she is a main charcater, though I wasnt expecting Joseph to ask him not to kill her.

Amanda is only concerned with keeping herself safe. Daniel is weak and thinks his money will solve all his problems.

Her plot was pretty good to begin with but it boring me now. All I really want to know is why she wanted Zoe's avatar and who she was speaking to when using the holo device.

I like where their plot is going. There is an obvious mole feeding Clarise information. Like Indy said on Unarchived, Peter Wingfield plays characters who could be either good or bad and its never easy to see which he will be. With a bit of luck, he'll be around for a while.

I'm like Daf, this one wasn't as good, but what I really liked about this episode was, Tamara Adama,

I thought she was extremely boring up to this episode. She is very bada$$. I loved how it ended with her strolling down the street with that weapon. She is getting better at the being killed, almost dying, but rehealing part. Maybe she is really getting into it and is loving it.
