Hi,
Im a student and currently writing my dissertation. It is based on the console gaming industry. It would be really helpful if people could complete this questionnaire. I didn't like a few of those questions, but still answered them all ok. But 8-9ish were annoyingly specific in some cases.

I totally agree, I'll have to look at it again to pinpoint which ones, but there were some questions that I didn't like at all. Edit: I saw that not to be nitpicking, but I without knowing what kind of statistics he was trying to gather, I thought some of the questions didn't really provide useful information. I have a Gamecube; most of these questions did not apply to me. I know a lot of people who still use and buy older generation games/consoles, and they probably make up a sizeable portion of the gaming market, which this survey didn't really acknowledge. Unless your dissertation isn't concerned with trends in gaming and the statistics surrounding the use of older equipment, you might want to tweak the survey a little. Just a suggestion.

Hi all,
Cheers or taking part, and if you havent done it yet...please do! Ill be collecting responses pretty soon. In answer to the questions some of you might have, my dissertation regards branding, and Ive chosen to base it on the console industry because i know quite a bit about it, its pretty simple cos theres only 3 main 'players' and Microsoft are trying to rebrand into the family friendly console atm so it seemed like a pretty good idea. I know you hated some of the questions, and some may not apply, and you probably wish there were MORE options for answers...well actually...the whole point was to force you to choose an answer! I know that might seem strange, but hey...its a dissertation and I want you to give me some good results to analyse! On a further note, what has happened to this forum? I joined ages and ages ago when Stargate was at its peak, it was the most beastly show on TV, this forum was alive with hundreds if not thousands of visitors each day. Now whats happened? The site doesnt get updated, the forums are basically dead. I know SG-1 and Atlantis have finished, but SGU is still coming up. Do you think the site will start to breathe again soon? Does Arcady still run this site? Whats going on hehe! |
