Check out the chat link located at the top right of any forum page. Just enter your desired nickname and login to start chatting!

You can also chat using an IRC client, by connecting to irc.centralchat.net and joining channel #sg1archive.

I was on it you should have waited....anyway I'm on now and there are quite a few on, you lot should d/l mirc, and use it from there, the shortcut version is so slow

The chat will work a lot better if people don't come in, decide no one is there, and then leave...

I mentioned in the chatroom earlier. Perhaps to attract the most people is to announce a day and time for everybody to be in the chatroom. Eventually things will develop and the place will fill up nicely on it's own.

OK, I've got an idea (I'm also posting this in the Chat poll, so if you already read it, sorry)

Whenever you come here to read the forums, open the chat in a new window, and keep it open the entire time you're here. At any given time, the main page shows that there are usually several people around. If you stay logged into the chat while you're doing other stuff on the forums, then you increase the chances that more people will be available to chat.
