Well, I've done it! I've posted it over in Shipper Haven, where there was a specific thread about this theme. If I've done this right, you should be able to click here to follow the link...I hope!
Enjoy! |

Though I think it's a pity(he was really cute) I think they made the right choice letting Martouf die. If he'd lived, he and Sam would have gotten together and this would have effectively take every chance of Sam and Jack being together, because Sam and Martouf are pretty good together.
As for the song, thanks. I'm not really good on the piano so I'm still practising, but is great. |

I thought it was a good episode. It shows you that Sam and Jack do have 'feelings' and I liked that. But it was a shame that Martouf had to die (he's pretty cute for a 30+ year old...no affence to the 30+ year). I think it was not really necicary. I mean they could have just had Jack and Sam finding they are not Zatarks and they care about each other and left it at that! Man they don't need to load an Episode with too much actions and future effecting events, too much can make an episode too...(don't have the word to describe it). But what is done is done, and for all we know he (J. R. Bounre (sp?) could have had to leave the show for some reason. That happends...and these days the show biz's soulution is to kill that character
Has anyone else noticed that they are always killing the Tok'ra and the other SG teasm other than SG-1? This post has been edited by Rayana: Apr 23rd 2005, 1:47 PM |

QUOTE(Rayana @ Apr 23rd 2005, 7:15 PM) Has anyone else noticed that they are always killing the Tok'ra and the other SG teasm other than SG-1? Thats because SG1 are themain cast. It wouldnt be a good idea to kill of the team the show is about in one season would it? The other cast member are just a supporting cast and are killed to make the show more like real life because in real life people die. You cant have a good show where everything turns out all hunky-dory in every episode. |

Why would you kill the goose that lays the golden egg? I mean they have been trying for the past 2 years to keep RDA for as long as they can. They know a good thing when they see it. If any member of the SG1 were killed, it would effect the show.

ah, what an episode! THe cutest ever. I lovw Sam/Jack romance. Episodes that have just a little hint of romance are mo favorite.
So has there been any other episodes except for a 100 days, Window of Opportunity, and this one with Sam/Jack hints of romance? |

QUOTE(aliaras @ Jun 12th 2004, 11:23 AM) I hated Anise's choice of clothes...I was staring at the screen like this Something sorta interesting: my sister claims that at one point during the extended force field scene, Jack actually mouthes "love you" at Sam. It's during the flashbacks during the confession. My sister is a hopeless shipper I also find it rather telling that Daniel first thinks of Sam when Jack says "She made a pass at me". He doesn't guess that it might be Anise, or any other female on the base. He thinks it's Sam. [/shippycrap] THANK YOUR SISTER SO MUCH!!!!! i was strating to think it was only me who could see it!!!!!!!!! He definately mouthes 'i love you'. i really did start to think i was seeing things, but now that someone else says they have seen it! woo hoo, i'm not going crazy (well anymore crazy than i already am!) |

QUOTE(scjon @ Feb 14th 2005, 9:24 PM) I love that music. Unfortunately I'm not musical, but perhaps my sister, who is, can be persuaded/bribed to play it on the piano for me. This is still one of my all time favourite episodes, mainly because of the shippiness, I have to admit. I find it difficult to watch it when my husband is around, because I have to stifle my reactions to it somewhat. He gives me very strange looks when I squeal at the TV!! i think the music was probably just made up by the producers or composers as kind of Sam/Jack music, so whenever there is a shippy bit they play it. It's so sweet, and i do that too scjon. i always go awww, or eeee or ohhhh, when i hear that music! Makes my shippy heart miss a beat! So beautiful. but its so beautiful! |

D&C is sssssooooo my favourite episode ever!!
I am a seriosly obsessed Sam/Jack shipper. And I have a strange like and dislike of Anise. I think I like her because I don't like her. Wwwwwooooooo I luv Divide and Conquer! All the mush at the end with Martouf dying made me sick. I never like Martouf. He like Sam too much if you ask me. Sam should be with Jack!! They would be perfect together. I'll just shut up now but I just wnat to say...I LOVE DIVIDE & CONQUER!! Attached image(s)

I also really liked this episode. A nice follow-up to Upgrades which was another good episode.
Did kinda guess that Martouf might be the Zatark if no-one else was. Shame he had to die cos he was a good character and probably could have had a lot more to offer to the series. Thought it was great how Jack and Sam had to finally admit how they felt for each other. The flashback scenes were quite emotional. I have mixed feelings about Jack and Sam getting together cos although it would be great for them to, it would mean one of them would have to leave the SGC and would therefore no longer be on our screens. Oh well, never mind. Great episode. chelle_b |

Can anyone view subtitles on the TV and see how Zatark is actually spelled? Just out of curiosity, the DVD player I'm using can only read subtitle files, which aren't on the discs. A lot of TV shows have the closed captions encoded into the video signal so they'll show up on TV even though there aren't any subtitles on the DVD.
Is it Za'tark, Zatar'k, Zatark, Za'tarc.... etc.... ? |

don't consider myself a shipper or anything but I do enjoy when they explore these situations and I thought this episode was the one that showed a good amount of sam/jack interaction. I personally thought Anise and Jack should have a had a quickie. HEHEHE I would have she is hot and that outfit, damn!!!

You can repspond to any post you want to but when they are from that long ago, the chances you will get a reply are slim. Just bear in mind what post you are quoting and whether it adds to the discussion.

Great episode, and I particularly liked how the machine resembled the Voight-Kampff test from Blade Runner!
YouTube - The Voight-Kampff Test I was sorta waiting for Anise to ask somebody about their mother. "Lemme tell ya about my mother... BLAM!!" This post has been edited by Chris_Johnston: Nov 4th 2009, 3:38 AM |
