I'm hoping someone on this forum can help me out. My partner and I attended a Stargate convention in Los Angeles on July 11, 2004. Creation Entertainment had told us there would be videos of that convention that we could purchase, but we have contacted them repeatedly and there are no videos.
What I am looking for is any video that was taken of the question/answer session with Michael Shanks. I'm willing to pay if it includes the question I asked. I would be most grateful if you could help me out. |

Wow. That sucks about Creation not following through like that. I hope someone can get the video for you.
Have you checked online? A lot of fan sites have places where you can order or view portions of con panels. |

Thanks. How interesting to see Cousin Larry App-le-ton (as Balki would say)....... |

I actually have a DVD from that event. I was there. I'll see if I can find it.

I thought I recognized Amanda's lovely blue jacket in your profile photo, but I figured she must have worn it at more than one event. She was absolutely beaming that day. I would be indebted to you for life if you could find your DVD. Do you think you got the question/answer session with Michael? Were you at the breakfast thing in the morning? That convention was a gift to my partner, who is absolutely smitten with Amanda. It was one of the best gifts I've ever gotten him |

I found the DVD. It does have Michael Shanks on it, but I'm not sure if they included all of his time on stage. Is there a particular question I can look for?
I was at the breakfast thing in Burbank. I don't really remember it. Actually, I ate breakfast at the same table with Shanks (along with Linz and Kudora) a year later at the Columbus convention. I spent more time talking to Peter Williams though. |

I began my question by saying that I am a huge RDA fan, and that was the only reason I started watching Stargate! At that point, Michael very dramatically and quite literally threw himself down on the stage floor as if mortally wounded. I continued by telling him that I was quite surprised that at the end of season five, I no longer wanted to watch the show. He got up at that point, and told me I had managed to dig my way out of that one. I finished by telling him that I thought Daniel Jackson was the heart and soul of SG1, and asked him what he thought was at the core of the Daniel Jackson character. I sure hope you have this piece of the session on your DVD. It meant a lot to me, and I'd love to have it captured for posterity. This was our first and only SG1 convention. Amanda, as I said, was beaming. Michael looked very tired. And Chris was a delight. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was a very long day, and I was impressed by how much time each of them spent with the fans, especially Amanda who treated each and every one as if they were the only person there. |

I played through the whole Shanks section of the disc, and I'm afraid the part you mention is not included. Or at least I missed it if it was.
I'll play it again this weekend just to be sure. Sorry. |
