From TV Guide:
"Look for the show's usual spirited mix of action, mystery and male bonding. Lt. Mitchell and Teal'c fight the fire-breathing dragon that trapped the team in September's cliffhanger. Team scholar Daniel Jackson disappears on a startling journey and Gen. Jack O'Neill is there to banter with old buddy Daniel when he returns. There will be a touch of romance when two fan favorites finally lock lips. Also, Vala gets a visit from her dad (Fred Willard). But the 'main thrusts' of the final episodes, says Executive Producer Brad Wright, are SG-1's mission to halt the galaxy-conquering Ori and the search for Merlin's anti-Ori weapon, the Sangraal." |

Shouldn't the shows be available on itunes from episode 11 onwards though? Canada has already begun airing Atlantis from episode 11 and the UK will be airing the second half of both seasons from January or do the shows need to have aired in the US before they appear on itunes?
I will watch the last 10 shows on Sci-fi and Stargate Atlantis but after that bye bye Sci-fi What are you going to do about season 4 of Atlantis though? |

Well, sci-fi is doing a stand up job in insuring lower ratings.
Bravo Sci-Fi, bravo! I'm not going to mention 'that which will not be mentioned' but you all know what I am talking about. |

This is basically just a rant against that which cannot be changed. WHAT THE FRACK IS THE PROBLEM WITH THESE FRACKING PEOPLE? HAVE THEY NOT DONE ENOUGH? WHY MUST THEY PROLONG THE AGONY THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN INFLICTED UPON US. End Rant...

I only have one motion to make
All in favor of raiding Sci-Fi Network HQ.... well grab your pitch forces and torches because these guys never learn. OK I was upset that they delayed it to March but now a flipping another month come on are they trying to loose all of their fan base. Because at the rate their going I swear they're going to be showing reruns of Battlestar and Wrestling all day till the end of the century. |

Seriously! I can't think of an actual reason they are pulling this crap, besides they want to agrivate their fan base. It's simple, Sci-Fi see Galactica as their top show and are choosing to screen season 3 before going back to Stargate. Galactica has pulled better ratings since it's first season aired than both SG-1 and Atlantis have. Galactica has better ratings and therefore makes them more money, it's a simple as that. |

Actually, at the beginning of this season it was getting ratings similar to SG1 before SCIFI announced its cancellation. Perhaps this is the reason behind SCIFIs decidion to move BSG to a sunday night 10pm timeslot .... either way I think its just stupid. They are clearly just using Galactica to promote their new shows by moving Galactica to air just after their "new" content. SCIFI is going to be the death of BSG. |

I've been concerned about Sci-Fi's programming priorities since they started carrying professional wrestling on TV in place of other good possibilities.

Isn't the Galactica ratings falling right now? I thought they are now no better than the Stargate ratings. Opps, sorry Pitry, didn't see your post. I have to say, it breaks my heart that Galactica is sucking. Not. This post has been edited by bigjohn_1972: Dec 7th 2006, 6:47 PM |

About the only reason I watch scifi is to watch Stargate and Stargate:Atlantis. They are driving fans away with lame shows like dr. who , heroes ,and galactica (which sucks!). And leading to halloween they did not show stargate at all for 2 weeks. What happened to stargate mondays with new shows on friday nights? Have not seen atlantis for a while now, has it been cancelled? I don't know where they get their ratings from, but they are misguided.

Well, if we wish to watch SGA, we could just move to Canada... they are almost halfway through the second half of season 3 already.

If and when I can I know I would do it in a heartbeat Revan. I mean its awesome, From what I know they get the episodes without any little watermark in the corner and straight through without any commercials.
They're only draw back is that the SG1 and SGA seasons are split and they get Atlantis completely done (or close to it I'm not exactly sure) before SG1 even airs |

You know, I like the UK's way, episodes air from october to march with only a couple of weeks break at christmas, but it's basically both shows straight. They play them both at the same time and don't crap about with them. They don't randomly take a week off which I've noticed sci fi do and generally treat the show well. If I was living in the US and had to rely on sci fi to watch the show, I'd turn to *coughothermethodscough*, as they're just going too far and I would just be pissed off by now.
Also what is the exact reason for delaying it by another month, galactica will finish in march will it not. Why are they waiting again for it?? Or is it just to have atlantis's seasons effectively as one long one. |

I'm guessing that Sci-Fi are expecting larger than average ratings for the finale of both shows and so can charge more for advertising during that period. |

YES!! Back in the day of the glorious 1960's, a series would show all of their shows straight thru, with perhaps time off for holidays. It was always sad when April would come, because you knew that summer reruns were soon to be endured.
That's why lots of shows were so rushed for the actors, because it was standard practice to get each show done weekly, rather than take a few weeks, and play reruns to fill in. Ahhhhh.....for the good old days!! |
