Ford only became interesting when he was removed from the main cast. TPTB have even said they wrote Ford out because they felt he was a bad character.

I always thought he was living in sheppards shadow. By introducing a non military character like ronan, they improved the dynamic of the team slightly.

I don't much like ronan his such a typical character. the producers added him because most sci-fi shows have characters like him, he really bores me
ronan a character made for nerds |

These types of shows tend to have a set number and type of characters, because it is easier to set up stories and stuff. |

He was a weak and juvenile character... He always acted like a little kid and it got old fast. Exactly, Ford always came across as a kid, with the "oh golly gee," mentality. I really did not like him, and it did get old real fast, and he was the second highest ranking military man at Atlantis because of the death of Colonel Sumner in the opening show. |

I felt he added a lot of humanity to the show. If thre's one character that's the "ordinary person in an extraordinary situation", it was Ford. |

He was the second in command, and was very childish in all his ways. He saw everything as an adventure and fun, when in reality, it was dangerous, and life threatening. He needed to grow up and he didn't. But I did like him in season 2, because finally I cared about him, and what he did, where he was, and what happened to him? In season 1, I couldn't have cared less. |

i said michael was coming back you all told me he cant and who was right huh???? Look again. You were not the only one to say that Michael would be coming back. So what you said it too, people here have the free will to contradict you, given that you didn't present any evidence to your claims. Are you saying that everybody should listen and be quiet when you say something just because you said it? This is a board, you should expect different opinions all the time, and be ready for anything with viable proof. About the smart arse thing... I know I'm one of them, that's why I posted this. |

i said michael was coming back you all told me he cant and who was right huh???? So you read something on Wiki and posted it here, big deal. If you want to take credit for saying he would return, go ahead and take it but just realise no one give a sh*t who said it first. |

i hope micheal coming back is not the big surprise cause it's definately not something i'd be looking forward too. I personally thought that micheals character was really lame. but I suppose that's just my opinion
personally if he is coming back I hope the surprise is that they finally kill him off for good |

Michael actually had depth... he had a personality, etc. He is an interesting character, especially when compared to the main cast. Yeah, I liked Michael. He was torn. He had been human for awhile and had non-Wraith like tendencies. Then he returned to the Wraith like tendenices. Yet, for some reason, he didn't return to looking like all the other Wraith. I always wondered if it was because of the virus that Beckett had given him. Michael had character. I'm still not too sure that I would trust him, but he did help in the end. |
