Season 9 is now available for pre-order from Amazon.com: Click here (Coming October 3) Canadian viewers can order from Amazon.ca: Click here (Coming October 3) That Canadian link didn't work Arcady. Any word on the thin boxsets? I actually prefer those. |

It's the slim boxsets that are for sale in the US link. As far as I know, the larger boxsets aren't produced any longer. ...which makes for an interesting display problem at my 4 local Best Buys since they've still got old stock on the shelf mixed with the new. I'm still trying to complete my collection of the old stock .... only 2 seasons to go but most places don't have any left! So, if you're in the GTA area and you find any old stock season 6 or 7 DVDs, please let me know |

Any horrible mistakes that would persuade me from not buying this right now such as the infamous syndicated/not original Threads?

Best Buy usually has all the seasons in stock... except 9.... which they were entirely out of.
I had to order it off the SG-1 site. I remembered afterwards that I could go through The Archive to do so.... oops. |

So I got it in the mail today... I am unsure how I feel about these new thin boxes. It will be difficult to stack them.

It looks as if stores in the UK (HMV in particular) are getting ready to sell the new slim boxsets for SG-1 and Atlantis. All SG-1 boxsets have been reduced to half price, from ?60 to ?30.

Speaking of all these boxset issues, does anyone know why they have removed the season 9 collectors tins from sale in Australia? EasyDVD has refused to say anything other than that Season 9 Collectors Tins are "no longer avaliable", which is damm annoying because they haven't filled my pre-order yet. Anyone know if there are plans to make more collectors tins avaliable? I'm thinking of returning my entire collection to EasyDVD on the basis that they promised the entire collection would be avaliable in collectors tins and now they are saying "we don't know if the remaining seasons will be released (in sufficient quantity) in collectors tins editions or not".
Anyone else seen a store anywhere accross Australia still selling Season 9 Collectors Tin's or should I just go ape at EasyDVD until they "find" a lost collectors tin or accept the return of my Collectors Tins in exchange for original Box Sets? Thanks, Spith |

If you pre-ordered it then they should be obligated to deliver unless they made it clear that the collector's boxset was only available while stocks lasted.
I wouldn't recommend that you "go ape" but you should try to contact them and explain that you pre-ordered the collector's boxset and would like to know why you haven't recieved it. Failing that, get a refund and try another store or a site like Ebay. |
