This was a dull episode. It was so slow, and then they resolved SG1's story with a minute long explanation near the end.
Vala's story wasn't much better. Woolsey's offer was obviously a test, and we always knew she was going to pass the evaluation no matter how bad it seemed to be going. Sadly, this was a waste of an episode. |

Kinda shocked that nobody noticed the Blade Runner reference with Vala's "tortoise" question! (EDIT: And according to the DVD commentary, Claudia improvised her answer to the question!
YouTube - Blade Runner - Holden detects a skin-job Not the first BR reference, of course: The Za'tarc detector from "Divide and Conquer" was based on the Voight-Kampff machine. A magazine reporter once applied the VK questions to some San Francisco mayoral candidates, and the results were quite interesting!
