Morena is a nice surplus indeed. I personally never got tired of stargate SG-1, nor Atlantis. This is just a reason more to keep watching

wow, is there a secret requirement of having been a regular on another successful sci-fi series to be cast as a regular on SG-1 now? I mean look at basically every recurring character since Season 8 or 9 or so....the EMH from Voyager, T'Pol from Enterprise, half the cast of Farscape, Q and Chief O'Brien from TNG, Cancer Man, Skinner and Doggett from X-Files, Michael Shank's wife from Andromeda, not to mention all the 1-shot roles from veteran sci-fi actors (well ok, mention a few...Odo and Quark, for instance
 ). Hope BSG doesnt get cancelled before SG-1, or they'll have to write a part in for Olmos  Not that I'm complaining, its worked great so far, just doesnt seem like they're casting a wide net for new actors, and I just hope that SG-1 doesnt devolve into sci-fi fanboy pandering and cameo whoring This post has been edited by droid327: Jul 13th 2006, 3:11 PM |

Most of that is because of where it is filmed. In Vancovour Canada which has some 54 odd filming studeos.
Also the show has a life of its own and this invites known stars to now want to be part of it. All you have to do is look at Beau Bridges who wanted to be part of the series and Lou Gosett Jr who also wanted to be part of it before he died. Big actors want to be part of it. Stargate seems to be absorbing alot of actors from other Sci Fi shows. I particularly liked Morena from Serenity. I think she is going to be one evil temptress.

I loved her in firefly, why they cancelled the show is behond me. I loved her in serenity as well. But I think bringing great actors in to stargate is why it getting better every season.
