I like Gary Chalk as an actor. I hope he doesn't die.

It is possible the Russian crew somehow escaped. I will wait until friday to find out... smile.gif

Which is probably why he'll die.... or maybe be captured.
Things with China and Russian are so tense right now, getting rid of Chekov might start something ugly with the discussions... and hence we have a new storyline!

It looks to me like TPTB are trying to remove the foreign nations from the show. The SGC now has full control of the Stargate after trading the Korelev for the Stargate so the Russian aren't exactly needed any longer. The International Oversight Commitee is more involved with Atlantis now and since the SGC doesn't fall under their jurisdiction, there is no real reason to include them.

Daf, I would say that this is defeating the episode 'Disclosure'. I personally believe that TPTB intentionally created the mistique for all of us to get excited for Season 10. Just look at the final/cliffhanger episode of Seaon 9. The way ships were exploding, one could think that only Samantha was left alive.
The miracle of Television will most likely have us have a lively discussion on Friday night and Saturday morning, after we have viewed the beginning of Season 10. king.gif

Yes but the UK only has a gap of around 3 weeks between episode 10 and episode 11 of both SG-1 and Atlantis. The US has to wait 4 months for the second half of the season. I'd prefer to wait longer for the season to start than have to wait 4 months for the conclusion of the the mid-season finale.

Your 100% right DAF (the mid-season wait in the US must be a killer) but the agonising wait in the UK is just as bad mad.gif!?!

Roll on the start of the new Seasons.

Hmmm, no it's not. What Daf said is correct. The mid-season interruption is for the birds. It makes no sense and is extremely irritating. I believe the sci-fi channel uses that time to air their own movies, which stink to high heaven. sick.gif

true that is a bit idiotic that they have to wait 4 months personally i can't stand the way they leave the series
on a cliff hanger and make us (the fans) wait 6 or 7 months to find out what happened can't they end the series on a possitive note so we're not pulling our teeth out waiting to know what happened
as my dads always saying

Son: dear mother it's a b#stard
Mum: dear son so are you

There is no choice as both shows are still being filmed now. Filming doesn't wrap up until around October, the large break between the first and second half allows the finalisation of the production of the show before it is aired.

The filming ends October 10th, just the day before Claudia Black's birthday smile.gif

I agree about the lag. Now that we have to wait till march for the 1010 to 1011 it will be horrible. Worse than the summer wait. dry.gif

bow.gif i can send pics em whistling.gif
as to the lags why not just wait and show the whole season at once then there's no need for the 4 month
wait and i'd like to say once again how bad it is that they keep us hanging for 6 months when the end of a
season is a two parter, btw is it true that stargate sg1 has been cancelled if this is true then it's a crying shame cause sg1 is 1 of 2 of the greatest shows in the universe and ending it now will not answer some of
the questions that plague the fans eg: daniels grandfather what happened with the aliens he was with ect

It has been discussed for the better part of a month. Stargate SG-1 is no longer being shown by Sci-Fi. The contract that MGM has with Sci-Fi says that no new episodes of SG-1 can be shown in the US unless they are on Sci-Fi. Unless they can get out that contract, don' expect to see SG-1 again, unless it is a movie or mini-series.

i'll hold out hope then after all there are so many stargate fans and mgm wouldn't want to p#ss them off
besides there is usually a buyout clause in most television contracts
and they did say that they would cancel it after season 8 but they changed their mind then
