What do you expect from Lucas? He believes that any changes he makes to the movies only improves them. Well...yeah, he's not going to make any changes that he thinks will make them worse will he. This post has been edited by Invisible Painting: Jul 3rd 2006, 11:34 AM |

Thing that bugged me must about the young Anakin at the end of ROTJ is that his Jedi robes arent even ones he wore in the prequels, but with him looking young you can understand because its not like he'd remember his appearance as Darth Vader and thats how he looked before the suit so.

I was under the impression that it had nothing to do with his memory, but at what point he stopped being Anakin and 'became Darth Vader' (in Obi-Wan's words). Either way, I hated the fact that young Anakin was inserted into Jedi. I think there could've been an option #3. They also could've aged Anakin and inserted the older version into the final shot. The technology exits to do age progession. I just want my originals... damn it. |

My point was that he believes anything he does to the movies is an improvement to them. In his mind, there is no possible way he can make them worse. Yeah, we'll probably see in the next release of the original films jar jar binks playing Han Solo This post has been edited by Invisible Painting: Jul 3rd 2006, 5:03 PM |

In his mind, there is no possible way he can make them worse. I have no idea why it took this long for me to find this thread, but it did. Daf, like most directors, they ALL think that when they have the chance to redo something, they will do it and make it better. What they don't seem to realize is that, sometimes, most times, too much thinking can ruin a very good thing. The original, unedited Star Wars, Empire and Return were the best and classic. They changed the face of sci-fi, and George should have left it alone. |
