Aren't the boxsets just the individual volumes sold as a whole package? That would mean the special features found on the individual volumes are exactly the same as those found on the boxsets.

this seems to have died a bit, but since it was the topic that brought me to this site I have to say something. Yeah, the special features are the same. And honestly I envy everyone in the UK. I'm going nuts waiting for the full season release. I'd prefer to pay more, buy the discs seperately and get them sooner! Mind you I watch the full season within 48 hours of buying it so... I guess I'm a bit of a fanatic.

There is also something else about buying individual volumes, as they're released once a month. With the first volume of season 9 there was special SG1 Classified Decoder Wheel attached with which you have access to the Restricted Area at www.sg1-uk.com and in this Restricted Area you can find nice icons, wallpapers, screensavers, competitions... also interviews, which are available on-line only and not on DVDs. And only for the period of time when the With volume 46 (season 9 are volumes 44 to 49) there was an interview with Cliff Simon. Unfortunately I've ordered this volume very late, so I was able to visit Restricted Area only once and I don't remember exactly what Cliff was talking about, the next day it was already changed into volume 47, which should be here maybe tomorrow or on Tuesday, so I'll be able to tell you what is in the Restricted Area this time.

*is insanely jealous* Lucky! Yeah, I hope they have good stuff on the american full season release. Until then all I can do is bite my fingernails and wait with breathless anticipation. I don't even have cable anymore so I have to either read online, or wait for the season to come out.

Some possible bad news for us in the UK regarding season 9 being slimline (which effects the possibility of us getting slimlines for all the others)

Its not on their site yet but I just got this email from sendit.com and it had this pic for SG1 season 9 boxset:

Ok just one question, I've looked around the internet but can't find anything. Does anyone have any idea what's happening with the season 10 and 3 individual volumes this year? Becuase they normally release the first one on the same date as they release the previous seasons boxset. But that was released on monday and no word has been said on the individual volumes. Does anyone know if they chose to stop doing them this year or if anything has been said on them? Because I've been wondering for a while. Thanks.

The first volume of season 9 wasn't released until 27th March 2006 and that was around the date that season 9 finished airing in the UK. The first volume of season 10 may not be released until around the same time.
