It has been announced recently that Richard Dean Anderson will be appearing in a MasterCard commercial during this year's Super Bowl. You can read more about it at MasterCard's site, or you can view the commercial for yourself right here. (QuickTime is required.)

Lol, that was pretty funny. I thought the hair color made him look old though

Yeah. Still funny though. Too bad the mullet was pushing it a little biggrin.gif

(nice to see him with the colored hair again like in the first season though)

RDA is still awesome, and not to be mean... but does he look old and slightly chubby to anybody else?

... Maybe its just me?

20 years will do that to a person. Me, I have no complaints about his appearance. biggrin.gif

that was sweet. I had always thought that they should do a MacGyver mastercard one. Glad they finally did. It was funny.

Aww, I thought it would have been better with a mullet (hair extentions can't be that hard?), nothing says MacGyver like the mullet! wink.gif I agree, he was still hot stuff none the less.

I also noticed the Mac expressions like the apprehensive looking around when he was fixing the truck and the raising of the eyebrows when he's driving out, classic Mac!...hey, I study this kinda stuff for a living... whistling.gif

I think it's really fascinating that he was able to slip back into the Mac role after having not played him since 1994. I thought maybe 10 years of Jack O'Neill would take its toll, but it just goes to show how great an actor RDA is. Jack O'Neill was nowhere in sight; that was all MacGyver. biggrin.gif

And I agree. It would have been HILARIOUS if he had the mullet. w00t.gif

I just loved the fact that during the scene with him sliding down the pipe it said at the bottom 'Dramatisation, do not attempt' as if we were going to laugh.gif But yeah, good advert, fits perfectly as well given the context.

He mentioned the mullet! w00t.gif OMG, I nearly died laughing at that. biggrin.gif And in the behind the scenes credits thing, I want to know why he rode away on a bicycle. That man's so random. laugh.gif

Awesome. Simply awesome.

God I miss RDA in SG.

Edit: Wow, I need to change my avatar and sig. It's been a while.

Edit 2: That's better.

He wants the damn mullet himself! laugh.gif

That was really cool to look through. Thanks Arcady.

So um, was that "package" his or his stunt doubles? Cause I am pretty sure it was RDA's.

EDIT: I do not remember the bike part Xay. Which video was it mentioned?

The package was all his baby! biggrin.gif

The bike thing was at the end of the Cast and credits video.

I'm suprised they made him do most of those stunts. laugh.gif

that was awsome

did RDA look like he was putting on a few pounds but the hair color it just looked unnatural on him yet it did look somewhat like his old color from MacGyver

RDA is def too old for the mullet, it would look silly. I originally thought the 'bulge' was from him stuffing the stuff in his pockets. That man was born lucky.

thanks for the link for all the footage, that was great.
Now I remember why I like RDA so much, his humor and his smile, no one can beat that! laugh.gif
