They wrap some of their victims in what looks like cobwebs, just wondering if anyone has, any idea how they do this?
Do they have that thing on their wrists like those that Spiderman had or do they spin webs as ordinary spiders do. I don?t remember the bug doing anything like that. The only insects that spin webs or silk that I can think of are spiders and silk worms. I know some people believe the wraith were created by the ancients by splicing genes with other creatures. The only reason i can think of for someone playing with genetics like that is to create a super soldier. Any thoughts, ideas |

Since the Wraith have evolved from bugs maybe they can create a web of sorts. Since most insects, that can create "webs", do it to store their prey for later feeding, like the Wraith do. If that is not the reason, TPTB probably did it because having the Wraith incapacitate humans for later consumption is a pretty sinister thing to do.

At first I was WTF? Spiderman. But it is a reasonable question. The bugs do make webs and hang from them as seen in one episode. Don't remember what year it is from. Also since it is not an Ancient thing it must come from the bugs.

Any thoughts, ideas  I don't think ancients would want to ever build super soldiers, but it is a good theory. I think more that if they where playing around with DNA it would be to ascend. Also i thought the wraith came about when a ancient got bit by one of the iratus bug. |
