And I'm sorry I keep reading PoO as poo. So when you guys say each gate and DHD has it's own PoO on it, I'm just not hearing it right the first time...

I've marked them as spoilers to be safe (they concern the last half of the 10th season) but if the mods think it's not necesary i'll remove the tags. » Click to Show Spoiler « 1. After almost two hours of searching the forums, i found that this had been asked before by nerd101 HERE. Basicaly, in season 10 in the Shroud, Daniel says the Ori don't feel confident taking on the Ancients just yet, they need more followers. The quuestion is, why do they need the Milky Way followers, this has proven to be quite costly for them in men, priors and ships not to mention the fact that they can't manifest their powers here (if they could, people would be swayed a lot faster than they do now with "just" priors), why not simply create life in some other un-inhabited galaxy? They could, as nerd101 said before, use some growth acceleration method to get a couple of billions humans ready to worship them relativly fast (although even if it takes a couple of hundreds/thousands years it won't matter to them, time is not relevant and, in the end, they would get the energy they need to destroy the Ancients). And why not do this in several galaxies? Perhaps the Ancients would try to stop them but, as far as we know, the Ori didn't even try. 2. After learning of Merlin's weapon and the threat it posses, why didn't some of the Ori fan out to 2-3 other galaxies? That way, should Merlin's device get to their home galaxy, they wouldn't all be wiped out and they would have a chance to rise again lateron. They would still be able to drain the energy of followers from other galaxies (they're draining it right now from humans of the MW, a far away galaxy). One could speculate that leaving would undermine the priors (and/or humans) devotion to them, but they risked anihilation. It could also be that they needed to stay together in order to drain the energy, but this has never been said, as far as i know. There is one reason that can explain both of them (and could also conveniently explain why the Ori didn't come to the Pegasus galaxy to convert the humans there, there are some opinions on this subject as well). What if the Ancients didn't shield the MW from the Ori, what if they shielded the Ori from the rest of the universe, what if they managed to somehow trap them into the Ori home galaxy? This is consistent with my belief that the Ancients number much more than the Ori and still are (were) more powerful, but they didn't wish to anihilate or even fight the Ori (and they still don't). Someone argued that the Ori may only wish to fight the Ancients and not the other ascended beeings, but even if that were true (wich i doubt, they don't share power and i don't think they would let other ascended beeings just hang around and maybe one day become a threat, not if they could distroy them), keep in mind that the others had, mostly, ascended with help from other Ancients and i think they would feel obliged to help, not to mention that they probably won't believe the Ori would live them alone once the Ancients were no more. What is the symbol for Earth's gate doing on the fake DHD found in "Bad guys"? It can be seen in the begining, when Mitchell tries to dial or when he flips it over. It's just an error made by the props department. They just replaced the keys on the DHD with the replicas seen in this episode.

Yeah we know that But talking plot wise it could be explained by the theory we put out, it can't be disproved and would seem the most likely given that circumstances.

Thanks for reading, i know it's a long post Another reason that strenghens my theory: » Click to Show Spoiler « Concerning the possiblity that the Ancients shielded everything from the Ori, not just the Milky Way: if they would have protected only one galaxy, the Ori would have known something funky was going on there and they would have surely sent a prior (or something) to check it out. And again, if the Ori were free to go to other galaxies, why not populate 1-2 more to strenghen their power? What have they been waiting for in the last 50 millions years, they knew the Ancients are still out there, why not increase their power?

It could be something like hiding the existence of life in that galaxy in some way. Probably because the Ori galaxy is so far away, they would simply trust that instead of going to check thoroughly. Second point, like I said, the Ori probably seeded their galaxy with life prior to their ascension. Once ascended, they probably didn't want to interfere more and seed more life, fearing the intervention of the Ancients while their power is still limited.

James Doohan used to be really good at that on Star Trek. That's why I picked WormholeExtreme as my login name and a picture of Martin Loyd for my avatar, because that episode was a lot of fun to watch and then view the commentary. The episode was basically their way of making fun of all the mistakes they make on the show. One thing I really don't get though? How is it that the camera crew was dumb enough to think a low budget tv series would be able to come up with a special effect of a space ship sescending on them that was so real that those that filmed it thought it looked realistic. I mean most shots like that have to be edited to look anywhere near that good on a screen. There is no way they could have made it look that good on an outdoor set. So why didn't they have to deal with people wondering where the ship came from? Of course it was also cool having those two guys at the end discussing whether the lame joke one of them told was good enough for a fade out. That could be explained away as banter amongst a film crew, but it really seemed like it was more of an issue of ending the suspension of disbelief. Which a lot of shows like to do occasionally just for fun. I really like when they use terms like "We Macguivered together a dialing system" To reference the fact that Richard Dean Anderson played MacGayver before he played Colonel Jack O'neil.

As well as making fun of other shows during it. But yes wormhole X-treme was very good, and it was actually the commentary that helped me get into them, I didn't really watch commentarries until I checked the one for that and then 2001 out. But it does help give a more indepth insight into some of the jokes. That is a nitpick though yes, but best ignore it it was the 100th episode A couple of times during the 200th episode they did a similar thing (I.e. walter running down from the control room in his white clothing and coming out into the gateroom seconds later in full military gear), but it's part of the fun

In the episode 100 days in series 3, after the stargate was hit by a meteor & teal'c had to go through and drill his way up, how did they dial home because the dhd was buried. On a side note in the same episode the woman asked Jack to father her a child, they spent the night together.... I wonder if there is a little Jack jr around?

This has been discussed quite a bit (a hell of a lot in fact). Simpel answer is, we dont know. People have speculated based on the very last scene when we seen her holding her stomach. IMO, it was the beginnings of a possible future story but TPTB decided not to continue with it.

They have changed sides and arms after the transfer... This shouldn't be a mirror reflection but a turn around 180 degres.
