QUOTE(Child of the gods @ Aug 7th 2005, 8:24 PM) Really?? Thats interesting theyre showing atlantis on a different day to sg1, i didnt think theyd do that, they must think it gets enough ratings to merit its own day rather then just be a follow on. Well thats cool that means theres 2 sg days a week!! |

So theyre going to be airing 'the best of' for a month and a half before the series started?? IM suprised at that they sometimes do something like this after a series ends but them doing it before is a bit odd. But good im not moaning. Thats cool though, theyre giving prime time viewing to repeats

Well thats cool that means theres 2 sg days a week!! I'm quite suprised they actually released that info. We've also go the second season of Battlestar Galactica too. Im thinking the schedule will change so that Stargate SG1 and Atlantis air on the same day and Galactica will air on a different day, like what happened with last seasons of each programme.QUOTE(invisible painting @ Aug 7th 2005, 10:40 PM) So theyre going to be airing 'the best of' for a month and a half before the series started?? Stands to reason though, the repeat of season 8 began last week, so will be finished around that time. They have to fill the time slot with something. |

Good point, is battlestar galactica starting the same week? Or didnt they say exactly when. And i guess they want to keep the attention towards sg1 going until the new series starts, which is why theyre showing the best of me thinks, makes sence.

What i think is, the uk/ireland release (I'm Irish like Colonel O' Neill) should be synchonised with the us release. i don't really get the point of the region1-region6 hullabullu. peace out for now.

Its ok lol, theyll probably say in the sky magasine soon hopefully. It is really good though
Anf personally i prefere the way the UK shows stargate to how america does, when we get the series id rather have the whole thing ten have to take a 4 month gap, i personally dont see the point in that, id much rather have it our way where we get the series and then have the whole thing. |

Well two months
I personally feel what they could do is show sg1 on the tuesday, atlantis on the wednesday and battlestar on the thursday. That would be interesting, a sci-fi feel to sky ones week, i think it would be a good idea. But i guess well see what they do. |

It's a replacement for Black Knight...
BTW, why isn't Channel Five listed, as they're showing Atlantis now? 8:00PM on Fridays for the few who don't know... Also not everyone has Sky |

Also not everyone has Sky Yeah, but channel 5 are backwards lol!! The main focus in the UK is for sky, as thats where they show first, it being on channel 5 is listed somewhere but im not sure where. The second viewings of a channel are not given much attention here, and most people here in the UK do have sky anyway, or just buy the DVDs when they come out, its given attention, but not much. |

I may have missed something here, but why are the first episodes showing in October?? Arnt they normally September?. It used to be 4-5 weeks ahead of USA in January but now it sounds that they will have the same episodes on the same week as UK. I hate channel 5 |

I hate channel 5 Well yeah, every year it basically starts about 2 weeks later then it did the year before, s7 started the end of sept, s8 started early october, and now season 9 mid october, its the way it is, its been doing that in america as well though, season 6 started in june i believe!! Now theyre mid july. Yeah channel 5 is crap, but i did watch atlantis on it, there arent many adverts during the break, it only lasted a few minutes. I want to watch the dvds of it though rather then the channel 5 showings. When they show in the january time the uk should still be ahead of the US, our winter break usually starts at about episode 11 or 12, and then show the next one before america starts, so i think well still be ahead still, especially as the only reason we take a winter break is for the christmas scedule, and its only a week or 2. Last week it was only one week, so we should start getting sg1 back early january, instead of in america where its usally late january (based on last year and s7) |

I hate British for these reasons: they get the Stargate DVDs first, better bonus features, and they get to see the second half episode before we see them here in the US (So I have to download them). Except that, I like all of the British.

It is true we get the second half first, but you get the first half first if your in the USA so therefore it is fair. Oh and do not mention downloading episodes in the forum please. |

Has anyone thought of, hmmm, not downloading them!! The UK gets it when the UK gets it, you cant expect us to not show some episodes for a month until theyve shown in the US!! You still get them at the same point as you would if we didnt show them first, it doesnt affect you guys, so just wait for them to show when theyre meant to in america. Stop complaining, when they premiere where you are, watch them.

You know thats talking about channel 4 right?? Skys listings arent mentioned there, only channel 4's. I think skys the same scedule as earlier. Plus you dont need to write that in three different threads one of which you started.
