QUOTE(Parmenides @ Nov 8th 2005, 11:29 PM) TBH that was one of the things I most liked about the episode. "Tell others of what you have seen",. full stop. It creeps you out. And that's what the Orii are supposed to do. spoiler 9X06 Beach Head Click for Spoiler |

QUOTE(Auntie Em! @ Nov 12th 2005, 3:02 AM) In the episode section of the forum it is not permitted at any time to speak of any future episode. This includes even Season 1 talking about say a season 6 episode. You can talk about previous episodes but never future unless as you suggest in spoiler tags. Who ever does that on old seasons?? Seriously i understand the rules but you see all the time in season 1 discussions people mentioning season 6 episodes. Whoops QUOTE(Pitry @ Nov 17th 2005, 10:26 PM) TBH that was one of the things I most liked about the episode. "Tell others of what you have seen",. full stop. It creeps you out. And that's what the Ori are supposed to do. Agreed that was one of the good things, that ending left you with something. If theyd then cut to the sgc or something it wouldnt have had the same impact. This had quite a big impact as it let you know that everything they tried failed and the Ori won. I thought it was good. Although there are better episodes |

I agree, I did like the impact of the final Ori statement, but it just all seemed so rushed that IMO didn't leave you with a chance to absorb what was going on. But then again, it has been over two weeks since I've seen the ep, so my recollection ain't that great!

Scuze me... I didn't quite catch that... A right what????
Scuze me while I'm preparing to go to the beach now Now, why would she be like that? I find the only thing wrong in her, the way she thinks she's eventually going to be moved for this job. She's trying not to get atached to people over here. This post has been edited by KillerMarv: Jun 13th 2006, 3:02 PM |

No, she isn't a bitch, she is a cold character. Lexa Doig has said that she doesn't like the way TPTB have written Carolyn Lam to be such a cold character.

It seems like the writers are setting her and General Landry up for a break-down and a make up. It seems like everytime they interact that Dr Lam is harbouring some/alot of repressed anger towards her father.

I think there is a lot of deep seated anger there between them.A lot more than they even explore later. The writers can draw on his in future episodes if they want to.
I know that the actress does not like it so much. It is hard to play angry all the time. This post has been edited by Auntie Em!: Jun 14th 2006, 10:59 PM |

Dr. Lam was constructed as a cold character from the get-go. It is all about the job. She works for her father, who she has major issues with. I think, in the future, if TPTB want to make her character more human, more sympathetic, they need to explore her relationship with her father. We may not see that for awhile since they will be dealing with the Ori, but I'm hoping that they will.

As much as I love Lexa Doig, her character just really annoys me... it's like... don't smile or your face will crack. I think if TPTB gave her a chance to interact with other characters we might see a bit of a different side to her.
I must say though, how much i loved Vala in this episode! I really love the fact TPTB are making her more human. We got to see so many more emotions from her that it just gave her more depth, and proved that CB is a great actress. I mean not many people can be so convincing with comedy AND drama! Anyway enough ranting... i can't WAIT for next weeks ep! |

Lexa has said that she doesn't like the way that Dr Lam is so cold. It seems to me that there is some sort of rift between her and her father and she resents the fact that he wanted her at the SGC. I think she might resent the fact that Jack through her in the deep end by not telling her that her dad would run the base! I guess the Lam/Landry releationship does add a new dimension to the show... now that Jacob is dead anyway You could see Lam soften a bit at the end of the ep towards her dad, especially when he told her to be careful... she's like, 'wow, he actually cares!' |

So everybody remember the time Anubis made the powerful weapon with all the 'eyes'?
Well... if you look closely, during the Mal Doran, there is the eye from the ziggurat in The Tomb next to the torture device on the prosecution's table. I wonder how it got there... I was under the impression they all exploded |

They are probably just reusing props. There is no way that the Eye could have surivived nor could the Humans on that planet have recovered it if it had survived.
