Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis have been nominated for three Emmy Awards! SG-1's "Reckoning, Part 2" and Atlantis's "Rising" have been nominated in the Outstanding Special Visual Effects For A Series category. Stargate Atlantis was also nominated in the Outstanding Main Title Theme Music category, which is ironic, since the Sci Fi Channel has opted to remove the opening themes this season.

Visit Emmys.com for a complete list of nominees.

I know, it's ironic isn't it? Sci-fi are about to scrap the theme music for fifty more seconds of advertising and now the show has been nominated for an Emmy for the music. blink.gif

Amen to that one.

The poor, poor themes. sad.gif

As for SFX, I actually thought The eye ones were better, but.. biggrin.gif

And now, for the $100 question. Will anything science fiction ver be nominated for something other than SFX? (well, and musical score! hehe) I mean, hell LOTR won an oscar, why can't a science fiction show won the Emmies?

Star Trek: The Next Generation was nominated for Best Drama in its last season. Didn't win, but hey neither did 3 other shows that year.
The X-Files has won as Best Drama. Duchovny and Anderson were both nommed, and I think one them actually won once.

Yeah I hope they both win something too, they deserve it. Dam the credits (Theres still time for SkyOne to show the full titles!!dam it!!!)
I dont see the point of a nearly 10 second intro, just a waste of time.
