I don't think they actually ever had sex - I'm a die-hard Jack/Daniel slasher. However, as the original SG-1 has been scattered to the four winds, we're not very likely to see any J/D interaction at all. So, if we're going to see Daniel develop something (subtextual/offscreen) with another character, I'd like it to be Vala. I really enjoy the chemistry they share and can't wait to see more of it.
Prometheus Unbound cracked me up. I love that Daniel is and always will be a smart ass. I love that he's not so chivalrous that he'll hit a woman who hit him first. The fruitcake line? Had me in stitches. She refers to him as her Daniel. She doesn't care how hard he tries to get the bracelet off - she wants him, bad, but she's not stupid or impatient about it. They make each other THINK. The final scenes between the two of them in Avalon II touched me, and I'd like to get your opinions. When Daniel goes up to Vala's body (I'm saying Vala because that's how we see her) after she's burned, what is he thinking? That he'll die soon, too, because of the bracelets? I think he feels some level of affection for her; would he be able to come to think of her as his wife? |

I think he feels some level of affection for her; would he be able to come to think of her as his wife? I don't think his own mortality was ever on his mind. He was thinking "this is my dumb idea, to try this machine out and now she's dead and it's my fault". He was very tender with her and she clung to him after she revived. I liked the show of real emotion from them both there, her vulnerability, something you don't think of with Vala and his tears and then his slight smile when she says her tingles are not all due to him. I think he will honestly be sorry to see her go, whether he will admit it or not, who knows? This post has been edited by wonderland: Jul 24th 2005, 7:43 AM |

QUOTE(wonderland @ Jul 24th 2005, 8:37 AM) I think him being sorry to see her go, and whether he shows it or not, will partially depend on HOW she leaves, and why. I'll admit that for once I went to Gateworld and read the spoilers for the first five eps, but they don't say much on that topic. Personally, I'd MUCH rather have her as SG-1's fourth instead of Sam - and not only because of this nice fizzle with her and Daniel - but I guess that doesn't happen. |

If all the tingles were not because of Daniel what caused them in Vala?

The raw emotion, the vulnerability, even a touch of humor. The chemistry is something that is either there or it's not, can't be manufactured. His reactions to Vala run the range from out and out confusion to dazed attraction to heart-stopping grief. All I can say is wow to the acting from both of them. |

No offense to the J/S shippers, but THAT'S what chemistry looks like.

QUOTE(wonderland @ Jul 8th 2005, 6:53 PM) Knew I could count on you, Xay. I think Daniel needs someone more like Vala, someone totally different from sweet Sha're. And, as for Jack, well, that's what he gets for dickin' around. You know with Sha're Daniel had a woman that gave and gave and gave. She really was his slave. I think with Vala, it would be turned around, LOL! I also think that is what Daniel needs. Lets face it, Daniel has had quite a few women on the show that wanted to be his slave and just do for him. With Vala, she will lead him around by his you know what. I think it's time for that to happen. |

QUOTE(xayeidemon @ Jul 25th 2005, 3:27 AM) I've seen some good J/S chemistry(Beneath the Surface), and I've seen some bad J/S chemistry(Lost City)...and I think that ship is more in the canon subtext than this one, so chemistry might not be as apparent. *shrug* Just thought I'd add a shipper view on that, not gonna thread-jack or flame though. Back to the REAL topic... I'm hoping Jack and Daniel introduce Vala to their favorite storage closet on the base And yeah, tag-team would be not a bad idea. Although I might be having a different picture of it than whoever suggested it first. The only question remaining being...who gets Danny first, Jack, or Vala? EDIT: Xay, you want fanfic? Hmmm....I'll see what I can do... This post has been edited by aliaras: Jul 26th 2005, 10:37 AM |

Yeah, gotta agree on the sparks flying. I kept on half-expecting them to stop in the middle of an argument and rip each other's clothes off!
I want the cuffs to stay on forever and a day. Can you imagine? She follows him home. She follows him to work. She embarasses him at the grocery store! Bickering, makeup sex, bickering.... such a wonderful little cycle. This post has been edited by Temporalrose: Jul 30th 2005, 5:01 PM |
