SGC Screensaver – SG11.zip
This is NOT a complaint, just an issue which I feel need be posted ! FYI: Am running Win XP, and using a VERY slow DialUp connection, via PeoplePC.com. That’s NOT this site’s fault, but, it took me nearly ˝ hour, to download this file (3.41MB). IF you are under the same circumstances (slow ISP) you should NOT “RUN” the file as you download it, but, “SAVE” it to a known location, and install/unzip it later. I suggest this, just in case your ISP disconnects you, like PPC has done me frequently, thus “saving” will prevent you from only partially downloading the file, and not have it loading and running on your computer, when/should you be disconnected. Should a disconnection occur, you then only have to delete the partial download, and start over at some time, which may/should enable you to complete the full download. If you have a fast (DSL/other) type reliable connection, this issue should not be of concern to you. Have a good Day ! |

There is a version now available for Macs with Intel processors: SGC Screensaver 1.2b (Universal) Actually, it is a "universal" version that should work on Intel or PowerPC Macs running OS X 10.4.4 or later. If you already have the previous version working on your PowerPC-based Mac, there is no reason to get this version. There is no installer for this version yet. Download the file, un-stuff it, then drag the resulting file "SGC.saver" to your "~/Library/Screen Savers" folder (within your user folder.) Thanks for bugguy's help with compiling the new version. Any Mac/Intel users out there, please let me know if this works on your computer. Tried this, does not work. Any chance there's one that works on snow leopard? Cheers |

I just installed it on an Intel Mac running 10.6.5 and it worked using the old instructions from 2006. Did you open it with Stuffit Expander so you got a file called SGC.saver before you dragged it to *user*/Library/Screen Savers?
