Hello everyone
I like FanFictions very much, but my English is not so good. I can't write FFs in English - They would sound bad But I like it to read english FFs, and also to translate them. So my question is: Is here anyone who speaks German and who would translate FFs for me into English? I would translate FFs from English to German, If you want this... Or, another way, are here German FFs? In this Forum? I'm very sorry about my worse English but the only thing I really CAN is translate I-) With friendly greetings Freyja Athar |

QUOTE(Freyja Athar @ Jun 12th 2005, 8:27 PM) I'm 1/4 german myself and i also like german i great deal, not the most romantic language in my oppinion but still very interesting especially since alot of it can be seen in english. I commend you on your linguistic ability, your English is Fantastic, i know people who have been speaking it all their life who cant speak as well as you do. I dont however speak any German, i can read some but that is only through teaching myself and probably isnt all that accurate. Good Luck with it all, |

QUOTE(ESUS) I'm 1/4 german myself and i also like german i great deal, not the most romantic language in my oppinion but still very interesting especially since alot of it can be seen in english. A calm German voice can be quite captivating. But I see what you mean, it takes some practise to be romantic in German. But then I find our language unusually rich in describing things and putting your thoughts down in literature. It's analytical, brilliant and it can conveys emotions with much subtlety. (So if you want to go into your feelings in detail, especially for writing a love letter, German is great!) Sadly contemporaray German is somewhat degenerating IMO, especially the spoken English is more invigorating these days. There's a nice thought I hold to; languages reflect the temper of the people and they reflect how that temper changed over the course of hundreds of years. QUOTE Oh thank you. You make my head red (I don't know how to say this I-) ) "That's flattering. You make me / my cheeks (meine Wangen) blush (err?ten)." This post has been edited by ted_simple: Jun 13th 2005, 3:02 PM |

If you want to speak German in another country - Don't go to Germany. berlin and Hamburg may be nice cities, but I don't think that Germany is a beautiful state. If you like wandering, go to Austria, I think there's better than in Germany... *sigh* It's your choice, not mine... |

That's your piont of view. Maybe a country isn't so interesting, when you have lived there for your whole life (*uhm* My life wasn't so long until now. I'm just 15 years old, can I speak from "My whole life"? I-) ). It's possible that Germany is nice for tourists... This post has been edited by Freyja Athar: Jun 18th 2005, 4:58 AM |
