I think i was mistaken, i was referring to the preview for episode 2, where doctor Mckay says 'GATESHIP you are ready to depart' so im sorry about that..but isnt that what Mckay wanted to call the ship in SG-atlantis too??

I changed my mind. I am watching Mobius again and OH YEAH. Carter is most definitely very preggy in it. I never noticed before but it suddenly jumped out at me. They did cover it up very well.

Yes that is also what McKay called it in Atlantis.

Yep, I said that was why she was definitely made up very frumpy. They were doing their best to hide her pregnancy. And yes, McKay wanted to call it Gateship. I think what they actually named it is a much better name.

Ive just rewatched the 'Moebuis' and I've started to like it more. I don't know why, but it doesnt seem as bad as I first thought. I still don't like the end though.

Series Finale?

I just finished watching the Sky One airing of this ep.  At the end it says "...find out next week in the 2nd part of the series finale."  I guess there are some really big changes coming if it's going to be a new "series" next season.  lol

I really liked this episode.  Very entertaining.

I think they're doing a good job sofar of RDA's departure.  Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Yep, a lot of the times, you can rewatch an episode and then it's like WOW, I didn't think I liked this episode before and now I do. Yes, I noticed that Jack's ship was Homer! I also agree about the ending though. Threads is in the top 10 of favs for me but, I would have liked to have them

It's one of the things that I do not like about both SG1 and SGA. When someone of importance dies, they don't mention them again. It's not right, IMO.

I get the mpression that TPTB don't know how to write about dead characters. It only natural for them to be spoken about after their death but with all dead characters they are barely mentioned. It's almost as if once the character is dead, they never existed.

Yeah, Daf I agree, and it truly bothers me a lot. I'm sure that the writers of this show have experienced a loss of a loved one, whether it be a family member, friend or colleague. Yet, because they don't do it, I get the impression that they just don't know how to do it, so they let it go. Yet, they should realize that the fans cannot and will not let it go when it comes to a loved character on this show.

Was it just me or did carter refer to the ancient vehicle as a puddle jumper?

was the message from atlantis sent before this episode? if not don't tell me when. biggrin.gif

Yeah, I'm just at that part on Hulu, where Sam's just called it a "jumper".
Now, I've only been able to watch the first episode of SG:A online, through one of those Asian streaming sites (since Hulu only carries the last 10 eps of the last season), so I know about the debate between using McKay's term "Gate Ship" and Sheppard's "Puddle Jumper". I also know from "Prometheus Unbound" that the SGC had been cut off from Atlantis, but I don't know if they've regained contact since then.
When they found it on Maybourne's planet, and Sam correctly surmised what it was designed for, I expected her to suggest that they call it a Gate Ship ("I mean, it's a ship, designed to go through a Gate...").
