i would have voted for sha're, but, ofcourse she died, so she shouldnt be in this poll.
i dont know when this poll was first introduced, but at this point in time, janet has died as well, but there was never any connection between janet and daniel in a relationship sort of way. sarah is the best choice (first of all, she is still living), because she was his college romance, and daniel and sarah getting together would be great, because if you think about it, it was his research that cost him sarah, now, that research has paid off and ultimately saved her life. |

I know I said something earlier but that we before Vala came into the picture. My initial opinion still stands. Sarah is the woman for him. I would suspect that she would have some sort of occasional advisor status in the Gate-verse but I don't expect to see her. I would hope that they rekindled their relationship a bit.
Vala is a little too crazy for what I can tell about her. I know that they were forced to stay close to each other because of the bands but I get the feeling that she rubbed him the wrong way too often (although some claim that it is a turn-on but I don't get that view from Daniel). Sha're, ftw.
She was his first and will always be so in his heart. Sarah a close second. But I also feel that Vala would be a good fit for him now - she challenges him. She's the Yin to his Yang (don't say it, you perverts ;) ). She certainly wouldn't have fit in with the seasons 1-7 Daniel. Daniel seems to have hardened up in the last few seasons - and I like that. |

Well as Sha're and Janet are dead and I don't ship Daniel & Vala, I chose Sarah. To me they looked like a good couple and I'm surprised she was never mentioned again after she was saved from Osiris...

Sha're was his first love. You don't forget your first love. There was no chemistry between Daniel and Janet, none at all. There were definite sparks between Sarah and Daniel. There are definite sparks between Daniel and Vala. But, unfortunately, Vala still has a way to go to be taken seriously by Daniel. She doesn't take any one man seriously, so why should Daniel? Yes, she seems to care for him, but that's the flavor right now. If I have to choose today, I would go for Sarah. She is no longer a Goa'uld, and she cared about Daniel, just for Daniel. She also has an interest in what he does.

Vala because she does truly loves him and he loves her too. I didn't see anything between him and Sarah when we saw flashbacks to when they dated and it didn't seem he was really into her. Now that I have seen the entire series when Daniel is interested in someone it is intense and emotional and very public and that is how he is with Vala.
