This sounds like an awful series finale to me.

I guess if you liked 'Moebius' you'll like this episode. Personally, I hated 'Moebius' and given the threat the Ori now pose to the Milky Way, TPTB have for some reason managed to completely ignore them quite often in the back half of season 10.
Back when they details of the finale were released it was difficult to understand why they would do it, now it is simple - TPTB have no idea how to extend the Ori plot. Given the Ori are now supposedly dead their armies have invaded the Milky Way in force and now TPTB are stuck. They can only write so many episodes that focus on SG-1 helping a planet that the Ori are trying to convert. |

I liked mobeious but I am in the minority I know. This is all Sci-Fi's fault for this finale they didn't want a cliff hanger ending for the movie to wrap up ie Farscape. They cancelled them when the season was pretty much done shooting only had what 4 ep to shoot I think. I think if Sci-Fi should have told them when they began shooting season 10 that this is the last season then it could have written better and storylines would have been wrapped up better. I am looking forward to this ep for some of the spoilers that I have read for my favorite ship but I enjoy Storylines too so I can't wait for the Movies to wrap them up too.

Those ships could just have easily been sent by the now more frustrated Ori... |

Do we actually know that the Ori are dead? Right now that is just an assumption. Those ships could just have easily been sent by the now more frustrated Ori... Maybe the Ori stopped the device... I would theorize they did not, given Merlin designed it to destroy them... one would expect him to forsee such an occurence. Adria may have woken up and disabled the device before it activated as well... We just don't know. I don't think there is much left to do with the Ori story line, which is why the finale doesn't seem to be about them. |

Just thinking out loud here... Does anyone else think we'll get a few hints/spoilers for the two movies in this one seeing as we see them going seeing the future? |

I doubt it. If they referred to anything coming up in the movies it will make them less of a suprise. I can see this being another alternate timeline episode.

Ummm....I'm thinking the writer had no idea what to do for the last episode so they watched a little too much Star Trek TNG....especially the series finale!!!!

Clearly. They were originally going to write another cliffhanger but had to change when they found Sci-Fi wasn't renewing the show. I'm suprised really considering it is Robert Cooper who is writing this episode. I would have thought he would have had a better idea.

if this ends up being just like another filler episode i'm gonna be pretty pissed off. The shows lost all its excitement over the last 3 weeks and its about time we got back on track with the ori storyline etc.

Im quite surprised at this, i thought they mite have done something really special to tie up the last ten years, like make everyone have a happy ending. Even bring back Richard Dean Anderson, considering he was a big part of the Stargate series for many of years. It doesn't sound like a good way to send our heroes off.

The true end to SG-1 is 'Dominion'. This episode is just a filler because the show got cancelled. 'Dominion' gave the show a pretty big send off and cliffhanger to lead into the movies.

Yes, I saw that too. It's completely different to anything that has been released as a spoiler so far. I can see this becoming another alternate timeline episode where the Asgard die in a version of the future but SG-1 manage to change history.

I'd have thought that the Asguard were smarter than that. To be honest i'm confused about whats gonna happen in this one. I've now heard of three different storys that make up the epi.... well Tuesday will confirm which one (if any) is correct. |

Why would the Asgard want to destroy themselves?
Can they honestly no think of a better way to safeguard their knowledge? |

In my view if the Asguard thingie is true then this is going to be worse than Mobius. |

There also seems to be a shot of Landry onboard what looks like a 304. That doesn't make sense to me, why would he be on the odyssey?
Unless it was just that the clip was too fast and he was actually juts sitting in the control room at the sgc! |
