I knew that Oma thing was just a trick. Looks like Part 2 is gonna kick ass! I think that the way they managed to bring every party to Dekkara [sp?] was a well crafted peice of writing, it was all pretty plausable, and nice the say everything fell into place, apart from the coincidence that the jaffa chose to attack it at that time, but I thouroughly enjoyed that episode.
Like I said, part 2 is gonna kick ass. I also thought that it reminded me of star wars: return of the jedi quite a bit, with the rebel fleet and the daring attack etc. Also, the rip off T-1000 arm blade on replicator carter was quite nice. w00t, season 8 has actually got good! |

PHWOAR!
Best episode of the season...perhaps even EVER! So many storylines...and each seemed to get its own fair share of the hour! ANUBIS IS BACK!? I'm surprised he's back so soon...thought they'd leave him frozen for a while! 'Twas nice to see Oma again, even if it wasn't really her! My one disappointment was that some of the space battles seemed to be taking place on computer screens as opposed to actually "happening" - bugger it, I don't care! Phwoar phwoar phwoar! I'm overloading with pleasurable information!!! |

Yep excellent episode.
I did fall for the oma thingy though.. wishful thinking got the better of me. Anyway i think it has been pulled off really well.. however i find it abit odd that: Surely they have been trying to fix the replicator problem since it went wrong, and now suddenly when they attack they find one almost instantly? (i know not instantly.. but u know what u mean Cant wait for Part 2. This post has been edited by Nnahrino: Jan 25th 2005, 4:05 PM |

WELL...this episode sure started out with a bang! Hadn't seen that coming! I CAN'T BELIEVE YU is DEAD!! NOOOOOO after all that guy's been through! Its sooooo shocking to know he's actually dead...then all of a suden SG-1 are aboard a mother ship orbiting a planet which looked like it was Earth (obviously it wasnt!) and then the replicators attack, steal Daniel and we find out the reps are launching a mass attack on the goa'uld at the same time!!! AND THIS WAS ALL WITHIN THE FIRST 5-10 mins!!! LOL! WOW, the episode got even better from there.....WHAT AN EPISODE!!!! It was class! From Jacob bringing a tok'ra receiver showing us Goa'uld fleets being destroyed within seconds to Daniel being sucked dry of Ancient knowledge!Jack had a funny moment of 'sorry thought we had a bad connection there for a second, it looked like you were asking US for help' god that was hilarious! Could the episode get better you might ask...OMFG of course it could...Ba'al bowing to another god...it was Anubis! Then Takara (sp?) was taken by the alliance ... GO THEM!!! Sam and Thor (yes even he made an appearance) readjusted the weapon to make it work again and then unfortunately not work again...WHAT HAPPENED TO THOR!!! He better not have died! and then who might turn up.. Oma Desala (EVEN SHE made an appearance or was she???? nope it was Replicarter!). I didn't think that she was going to be on until next weeks, but of course this episode has basically just set that up...its like a mass feature film! Another appearance was the director Peter DeLuise as the airman holding the gun up to Ba'al the hologram and even Martin Wood when they were waiting for O'Neill! GOD THE EPISODE WAS CLASSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! Is thor dead, will they find the weapon, whats happened to daniel, will Anubis be destroyed, will Oma (the real one) come and help, will Ba'al retake his forces, will they use the weapon in order for the reps to be destroyed? I CAN'T WAIT for next week...its impossible to wait! This ep gets a massive 9.5/10 for its sheer immenseness! There are soooo many questions that need answering! Bring on next Tuesday!

I thought this episode was quite amazing and I knew from the start that that was the Repli-Carter, cos my Carter would never head to the system lord's "HQ" alone.
And what's more shocking is, Anubis, he's back. I thought I recognised him by his favourite black cloak. 8/10 |

Amazing episode. Possibly the best of season 8 so far. It was obvious that the 'Carter' that was escorted tot he System Lords at the beginning was RepliCarter. Man, i cant believe she killed Yu. It was obvious that it was her impersonating Oma too (like Fifth did to Carter in 'New Order').
Anubis is back too. Good, bout time we had him back. It seemed to messy just to leave him on that planet. Was the person that Anubis took over (the one held by the Super Soldiers) David Palfy? It looked like him. My only nitpick is Baal's voice, it seemed different. You could really hear his South African accent in this episode. Cant wait till next week. everybody is going to be at the temple that the rebel Jaffa captured. It seemed too easy to notice that it was an Ancient temple too, the writing on the wall was too obvious. I wonder if this was the temple where the Ancients forced Anubis to descend. Teal'c and Bra'tac did say that it was the place where Anubis was resurrected. Overall, an excellent ep. This post has been edited by Dafmeister: Jan 25th 2005, 8:47 PM |

Man what a great episode after all the dull ones this season it was great to see all the major players on this one . Man for a second i was thinking it was Sokar or something since Anubis didnt have his shield dunno why maybe the entire cloak thing. They atleast better explain how Anubis got out of that frozen world . Im a bit confused since they claim it to be the Legendary place where Anubis rose from the dead but a couple of years ago Anubis was suppose to be long gone and dead in the eyes of all Gouald and Jaffa . I can understand the story line of this place being Ancient and why Anubis is connected to it but the Ritual of the start of Jaffa kinda urks me considering my thought was that RA had started it .. Unless they are making a change that Anubis found earth first and started taking humans

It's too bad the writers won't elaborate on the details of his sickness and old age. He and Kianna are the only two Goa'uld I'll ever miss. I wonder if we could see some ancients in the sequel. We know a few of them have risked to interfere with us in the past. Such as Oma and Orlin. Since it's one of their creation that's going to exterminate all life in the galaxy one of them may try to prevent it. However, I doubt that Anubis is going to destroy everything just like that. He has a complicated strategy to kill the Jaffa resistance. A strategy that would be pointless if the ancient weapon is used. It's probably something he keeps as a last resort as I'm sure he would hate to hand his realm to the replicators. This post has been edited by Lord_Yu: Jan 26th 2005, 4:26 AM |

This episode i feel was a bit of a let down, i was expecting to see the rebel jaffa retake the holy city all we saw was them comeing out of hyperspace telling the enemy ship to surrender and then we saw them in the city telling the enemy jaffa that everythng will be okay if you join us.
Bigest shock was that Anubis returned although this was expected it seemed strange that he and Baal are best of friends when before they hated each other. Replicators return-no shock their, but way to go to them, i mean they were destroying hundreds of Baal ships and turning them in to their Armada I personely am very sad to see the end of Yu but for all we know he may return as something else. Question: Was that the planet from Devil You know (Season 3) because it looked alfulay familiar the only difference was that it had the moon in the sky when in season 3 it was destroyed? I hope that the second part will be much better with all the fighting scenes that we all love. |

OMG!
Best. Episode. Ever. ...of any TV show I can recall at the top of my head. I almost had to change my pants when RepliCarter went all Terminator on the Goa'uld at the start. This ep integrated almost all the major storylines from the series into one place... Replicators, Goa'uld, Ascention, Ancients etc... I don't think I can wait until next week for Part 2, I fear I might die from anticipation. I neeeeed to know more about the Ancient weapon that can supposedly wipe out all life in the Galaxy... that sounds so impressive. Thor better live or my TV may face an untimely demise... from my fist penetrating its surface! |

I really enjoyed this episode, I am really looking forward to seeing out it all pans out.
Nice link between the two storylines of SG and SGA here too, if anyone saw the Atlantis episode after it (which was Brilliant) with the whole time machine thing. yip, another satisfying season 8 ep for me, having said that however I am still dreading season 9!! no Jack and barely any Sam - they both made last nights episode worth watching!! Its worrying |

Question: Was that the planet from Devil You know (Season 3) because it looked alfulay familiar the only difference was that it had the moon in the sky when in season 3 it was destroyed? Yup, that certainly was the same planet and even the same throne room I believe. I kind of forgot what the result of Devil You Know was (what the moon's destruction caused) and was wondering if they just reused the set and CG or if it was actually meant to be the same place. And I agree, there were lots of cheap shots, like the Jaffa attack, Thor firing the weapon only seen on a monitor display, etc., etc. Guess that means more money for the finale, so I don't mind hehe. Yu's death was way too sudden. They could've at least given him a fight, in blazing glory like Apophis or something else Also: FINALLY! My two favorite co-stars are back. I really missed Bra'tac and Jacob/Selmak! Anyone else think Baal's second appearance at SGC was hilarious? Seeing Sgt. Siler and Walter standing there..."So....." I love how everything centers on Tikara (my take on it's spelling |

Must be having a bad day?didn?t get to excited by this ep.
Don?t get me wrong the story was great but again we were told of the action but didn?t see the battles. Some running, shooting, screaming and things blowing up?. Nahh?! Red dots disappearing on a screen (?bip???bip???bip??signal lost). But the story still gave it all, an episode of anticipation. They should have made us speculate more of what was concealed in the temple and more visual effects in the scenes. Liked how they set the scene for Atlantis by mentioning the Time machine. (To bad I watched Atlantis Before I Sleep, a long time ago) This post has been edited by anja: Jan 26th 2005, 9:05 AM |

The episode was good, can't wait for Part 2! Can't wait for next week's episode.
They should've put more action in it because it was too boring. All there was, was chit chat and chit chat. Replicators are finally moving towards the Goa'uld, and this proves that the Goa'uld are defeated easily. O'neill was being funny again, tuna for lunch haha. I wanted to see more Asgard action. The face on the other Goa'uld's face was just devestating. I wonder if they survived or not. Yu for the first time was actually saying, "What are you doing here" For a moment I thought that that was the real Carter but intead it wasn't. It fooled me |

I must agree, it was kind of sad to see Yu die, at least it looked like he was killed.
Thor a little to much god of thunder, he should have let Carter help him, but perhaps he can do with out her..... Ohh man this the 2nd parter could turn into a epic battle... Nice tricks in Daniels mind, with sand castle and all Jacob/Selmak standpoint suprised me a bit. Loved the episode, looking forward to the 2nd half. |
