Ok, if they have no concept of time as we do, and everything they experience is basically at the same time relative to us, why would he have to explain to them who he is in the beginning? (plus, if he was the emissary, shouldn't they have already known who he was?)

They have no concept of Linear Time, time exists everywhen for them. They still exist in a past, present, and future, but there's no separation between them. The words past, present, and future have no meaning for them.
But the do interact with the rest of the universe. The wormhole has been around, shoot probably since the beginning of the Universe - if time isn't an issue - but they have been able to send out Orbs for a long time. Acutally, it makes perfect sense, Sisko was the first one to tell them about linear time. From their point of view, it doesn't matter when he actually talked to them, only that he did in fact talk with them. Because of the conversation with them, they were able to get a grasp of Linear time and that's probably the entire reason why they were able to send out Orbs at different times and release the False Emmisary from the past as a test. Stuff they did in the past for us only happened BECAUSE Sisko talked to them in the future. Even when they wanted to make sure that Sisko was born. All of that happened because of the conversation. They wouldn't have already known about it because as far as they are concerned, the entire conversation could have happened at the beginning of their existence. All we know is that they didn't know about Linear time until Sisko told him about it. And also, they didn't consider him The Emissary, that was only the Bajorans. He was just The Sisko. For the Wormhole Aliens, his purpose was to undo the Pah-Wraith mess.
Having met him and analyzed the timeline, they had to go back and make him in the first place... Don't ya just hate it when linear time converges with extra-temporal anomalies... We can't even imagine such a thing... It is all entirely abstract. |

Wasn't he the Emissary in their eyes? because when him and the other guy from the past went and ask them, they said that he was? But, if the conversation already happened and influenced other events, they would have already experienced it, since they know what the future holds apparently
