So. I've been watching the promos for a while now, even more so with the sci-fi marathons. I've seen this little smooch scene WAY too many times and surely over-anylized it just like I did with the one from Grace that had me all excited LAST year.
I have two questions. 1) Which episode will the kiss be in(how long do I have to wait?) and 2) PLEASE tell me it's real and they both remember it? And they were both COMPLETELY SANE during the entire scene? I'm surprised what with the number of shippers around this hasn't been covered, although I know Wier/shep is the minority crowd. I did spend a good deal of time hunting through Specific Episode Discussion, this forum, and Shipper Haven. If I did miss something though, please linky linky :-) Someone in one thread said it was in The Long Goodbye, but I didn't see any mention of it in the ep discussion or spoilers. |

I have a feeling it's is going to be in "The Long Goodbye". I haven't read any where that this is fact, but the story line for it makes me think this. The ep. is centered pretty much around Sheppard and Weir and the two souls(?) that take over their bodies.
I too was getting annoyed by the commercial the constantly showed during the SG1 marthon today so have spent the past hour looking for spoilers as to when it takes place. And have found nothing |

i believe it to be in 'the long goodbye' as , as previously mentioned, shep and wier are 'taken over' by two souls (for lack of a better word). there has been no proof that it is this episode but it kinda stays in with the stargate tradition of having the main 'ship' couple do something 'shippy' while they aren't themselves.
the episode has aired in canada in the last 24 hours so we should know soon if it is correct. |

Here is a discussion about the kiss. Actually it's been mentioned several times, you can look for more information in the discussion about Stargate commercials.
Anyways, as Lee said - soon we'll know! This post has been edited by Ilzy: Jan 3rd 2006, 5:29 AM |

although I know Wier/shep is the minority crowd. Oh, by the great deities! Every poll I've seen has listed Shep/Weir as the majority in Fandom. It's just that Season 1, which was mostly written without Fandom input, was supposed to be very Shep&Teyla. For now, TPTB seem to have realized it's better for them (unfortunately) to not support any particular ship and play all sides. |

So long as it's not the sam/jack again. That was fun and got me all nice and worked up until it wore out.
I saw that thread btw and posted in it. Thanks for the episode info and I'm sorry we have to wait so long here in the USA. I was hoping for a real kiss, too :-( This post has been edited by aliaras: Jan 3rd 2006, 8:45 PM |

Whatever. Who cares? As long as there's some making out.

Whatever. Who cares? As long as there's some making out. I must agree, that Torri Higginson is giving away a naughty vibe lately. And in Inferno there'll be a hilarious scene in that regard. (Sheppard reporting from a mission that Rodney is still on) S: I got to go back there see that Rodney is not too... distracted. Weir: Distraced? S: The lead scientist, she is, eh... W (quickly): HOT? S: I wanted to say attractive. But MCKAY is acting very, eh... W (amused): Smitten? S: I was gonna say pathetic. Okay up to this point you might think Weir is merely joining in McKay ridiculement. But read the rest: W (jumping up): Wait! I will accompany you to start negotiations with their leader. .. What's he like? S: A guy. Wasn't paying much attention, sorry. But then you have to know the whole episode is like this, McKay and Sheppard verbally hitting each other and at that female scientist, trying to impress her, run down their rival. It is really funny. Ted, shouldn't the most of what you wrote be in the spoiler tags? This thread is more about some previous episodes but Inferno is as new as it gets!
And yes, the episode was hilarious in terms of ship, I loved the conversation between Shep and Weir |

Technically you're right, but seriously this is a random conversation that doesn't give away any information on the plot at all. I had spoiler tags but removed them when I noticed this isn't a "spoiler".
Edit: Thinking about it, I did spoil experiencing that conversation first hand. If anybody feels that way, then say so. Personally I would look forward to that tidbit even more now if I hadn't seen it already. So it is an "spicer" rather than a spoiler.
