Ok now i've not been a die hard fan of Star Trek but i do watch it whenever i see it on TV and i enjoy all of them aswell.

I recentley Bought TOS, TNG, DS9, VOYAGER & ENTERPRISE aswell as all the ST movies and I need some help regarding when to watch the movies could somebody give me the order of the Series and the movies together please?

I hope you understand me.

Also I know this is the ST bit of the Forum but if anyone has got the order for the Babylon 5 Series and Movies that would be great!

Also is there any Farscape or Andromeda Movies?

Thanks

You just reciently bought them? HOLEY sh*t that is a wack load of money to go out all at once. That is 7 years each except Enterpise.

Watch TOS, TNG, DS9 than Voyager. Does not matter when you watch Enterpise the sh*t series that was because it is a prequil that does not effect the others.

You at least need to watch TNG up to just past WOLF super battle between the borg and all the space fleet in which Picard is rescued from the Borg before you start watching DS9. Watch most of DS9 before you watch Voyager but I see no real reason you cannot watch both at the same time. It is just that Voyager leaves from DS9 before they disappear.

You can watch TOS anytime since they are not really linked to the others except for the Tribble one. laugh.gif

TOS
TNG up to epsidode 174 ( Episode titled "Wolf 359" )
DS9
Voyager. (First takes place in Jan 6/95 which is half way though S3 of DS9.

ST movies 1 though 6 can be anytime afte TOS. It plays no role in TNG.
ST Generations happen in the first fall after the TNG was done. Fall of 1994. So it can come anytime afte your done watching TNG entire series.
ST First Contact came out in 1996 but it involves the Queen of the Borgs so althought she is in Voyager lots it is ok to watch it after Generations. Same with ST Insurrection and ST Nemisis.

It really explains alot when you watch them in order, so I recomend you watch them like this (the equal signs show what seasons were going on at the same time.) They actually do overlap, like in startrek 8 the defiant got a little (um) shredded. So for the first parts of DS9 season 5 they had it off to repairs.

=
Startrek TOS: 1-3
=
Startrek Movies 1-4
=
Startrek TNG: 1-6
Movies 5-6
=
Startrek TNG: 7
Movie 7 (went on right after last ep of s7)
Startrek DS9: 1
=
Startrek DS9: 2
=
Startrek DS9: 3-7
Movie 8 (went on right after the season 4 finale of ds9)
Startrek VOY: 1-4
=
Startrek VOY: 5-6
Movie Nine (right before the season 7 finale of startrek ds9)
=
Startrek VOY: 7
Startrek ENT : 1
Movie 10 (a year after Voyager series finale)
=
Startrek ENT: 2-3

Startreks over now. Wait till 2009

Movie 5 and 6 have nothing to do with TNG only Generations. Generations came out 7 months after TNG the series ended. The rest of the Movies have no effect on DS9 nor Voyager nor vis-versa. unsure.gif

Look, it's very simple.

Watch TOS in it's entirety, then Movies 1-6.
Watch TNG series in it's entirety, then Movies "Generations" through "Nemesis".

Then you can go on to watch DS9 series and Voyager series in their entirety and you'll be fine.

Though, the storyline for "First Contact" had nothing to do with the going ons of Voyager, (it was directly related to TNG) you may want to watch the movie again after finishing watching the Voyager series. But that's only if you want to.

It's not as complicated as they are making it out to be.

Anyway, enjoy!

Technically Osy said it, movies 1-6 after TOS, movies 7-10 anytime after TNG. Then DS9, VOY, ENT. That's the production order (some were produced concurrently, for example late TNG and early DS9 episodes at the same time, but they barely refer to each other).

In the Star Trek timeline, ENT plays first (22nd century) although it was actually produced last, and then the normal production order: TOS (23rd century), TNG, DS9, VOY (directly after another in the 24th century).

There are minor references in movies 8, 9, 10 to DS9 and VOY. You can watch the movies directly after TNG, but here are a few details that might confuse you:
- In movie 8 Worf rejoins the Enterprise (from TNG), although he was on the Enterprise at the end of TNG. The reason he has to "rejoin" the ship is that he has played on DS9 after TNG ended.
- In movie 9 it is said that a war is going on. This is the Dominion War from DS9.
- In movie 10 there is a brief scene in which Picard talks to Admiral Janeway. She was Captain Janeway on VOY and has been promoted since.

Also I know this is the ST bit of the Forum but if anyone has got the order for the Babylon 5 Series and Movies that would be great!

The order of viewing should be:
Babylon 5: In The Beginning.
Babylon 5: The Gathering.
Season 1.
Season 2.
Season 3.
Season 4 - Upto and including 'The Illusion of Truth'.
Babylon 5: Thirdspace.
Remainder of season 4.
Season 5 - Upto and including 'Objects at Rest'.
Babylon 5: The River of Souls.
Babylon 5: A Call to Arms.
Babylon 5: Crusade.
Season 5 finale - 'Sleeping in Light'. This episode basically brings an end to the televised Babylon 5 saga.

Thats not true. the sona from st9 played a part in a few eps od ds9. Voyager's return allowed Janeway to be shown on st10 a few months later, and the borg invasion in st8 explained why the defiant was missing in a few ds9 episodes.
